Women’s World Cup 2023: Panama vs France Prediction, Preview, Live Stream, Odds and Picks
As expected, France is atop Group F of the Women’s World Cup 2023, but the team hasn’t secured a spot in the knockout stages. However, even a draw against Panama would be enough to do so. On the other side, Panama has nothing to lose and is eager to rewrite history by winning their first point in soccer’s grandest stage.
Panama: At Least One Goal

France was disappointing in its debut after drawing 0-0 to Jamaica. The team was heavily favored in the soccer odds but simply wasn’t effective in front of goal. They won possession with 73% and finished with 14 shots, eight more than Jamaica, but it wasn’t enough.
They got back on track by defeating Brazil 2-1. Eugenie Le Sommer scored the opener for the European side only 17 minutes into the match, but Debinha scored the equalizer in the 58th minute. When everybody thought the draw was inevitable, Wendie Renard appeared to score the winner with only seven minutes left on the clock.
“We had the courage to react after conceding. We found that second goal and showed a lot of courage and self-sacrifice. Sometimes in a competition, there are benchmark matches. This must be one of them because we beat a very good Brazil team,” said head coach Herve Renard during the post-match conference.
He’s not wrong. Despite losing to France, Brazil is offering a +550 price in the sportsbook to reach the final. That’s why winning was so important for France because they ended up winning a lot more than three points; they gained motivation, confidence and hope.
France is offering a -5000 price to defeat Panama. That price goes beyond the victory over Brazil.
