It’s going down on Saturday in Arlington, Tx, as Errol Spence Jr. and Danny Garcia are set to square off. These fantastic fighters will be going head-to-head, and it will certainly be tough to choose a winner when you’re betting online.
To all of the bettors, good luck. These are top dogs squaring off, where anything can happen.
Spence’s Odds of Victory
Seeing Spence is undefeated. He comes into this bout with a 26-0 record, with a knockout percentage of 80.77. He is not to be taken lightly.
But, this is also his first bout since September 2019 because of a car accident that left him in critical condition October of that year.
His odds of victory, per the boxing odds, are set at -500, making him the favorite. And there are several prop bets that can also be placed.
The odds on Spence winning by KO/TKO/DQ are favorable, at +250. Winning by decision, he’s set at -170.
Any wagers on Spence to win the fight in a given round could have a massive payday. It’s +4500 for round one, +3000 for rounds two and three, as well as rounds 11 and 12.
Garcia’s Odds of Victory
As good as his opponent is, Garcia is no slouch either. He comes into this fight with a career record of 36-2.
He was defeated most recently by Shawn Porter in 2019, who was actually beaten by Spence a few months back.
BetUS has Garcia as an underdog, his odds of a victory set at +350. And plenty of boxing prop bets can be placed for Garcia, too.
The odds of him winning by TKO/KO/DQ are listed at +700. They jump all the way up to +550 if betting on a win via decision.
The odds of a Garcia win in rounds one, two or 12 are set at +9000. If he can pull that off, some major paydays will be happening for bettors all over.
Really, if Garcia can win the fight by knockout, it is going to be a major payday.
The Last time Spence Was in the Ring
It’s been more than a year since we’ve seen Spence fight. He defeated Shawn Porter via split decision after they went the distance on Sept. 28 at Staples Center. That was his first fight since he defeated Mikey Garcia in March.
Spence is certainly the favorite in this fight for a reason. But after more than a year off from the ring and having to recover from his accident, it will be interesting to see how he does.
The Last Time Garcia Was in the Ring
It’s been quite a while since Garcia had a fight. A look at his fight history would tell you that Jan. 25 was the last time he fought. He picked up a victory via unanimous decision against Ivan Redkach at Barclays Center.
It’s a bit of a disadvantage that Garcia hasn’t fought in almost 11 months. But at the same time, his body is more preserved, and he may be able to withstand a few more hits as a result.
How to Bet This Fight
This is not an easy fight to pick a winner. But it is possible. And here are the factors that need to be considered:
Given that Spence is undefeated and a few years younger than Garcia, he’s got the upper hand. Garcia generally goes the distance, where four out of every five Spence fights end with him picking up a win by knockout.
The power of Spence is going to be too much for his opponent to overcome.
That’s right. Errol Spence Jr. -500 is the boxing bet to make here. 27-0!
