#16 Colorado Buffaloes (19-5) vs #17 Oregon Ducks (18-6)
Thursday, February 13th – 9:00pm ET – Matthew Knight Arena, Eugene, OR
Betting Line: TBD
Colorado heads into Thursday night’s game with Oregon on a three-game winning streak. They’re riding high off a road win at USC and home wins over Cal and Stanford. Over the past three games, Colorado has outscored their opponents 230-176.
While the Buffalos are boasting a very good W/L record, they’re not paying dividends to bettors. Over the last 20 games, Colorado is 15-5 SU and 8-11 against the spread. They’re 1-3 against the spread in the last four games.
McKinley Wright IV, Tyler Bey, and D’Shawn Schwartz are the core of this Buffaloes team. Wright IV leads the team in scoring and assists. He’s averaging 13.8 points and 5.2 assists per game while averaging 45.3% from the field and 37.8% from beyond-the-arc.
Tyler Bey is averaging 13.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. Schwartz is putting up 11.2 points per game on 43% shooting from the field and 40.6% from three-point range.
Oregon will be happy to be heading back home after dropping their last two road games. The Ducks are money at home. They’ve won 16 straight at the Matthew Knight Arena though they’re just 10-6 against the spread in those games.
Oregon’s dominance at home is why I’m picking them to win again this Thursday.
#14 West Virginia Mountaineers (18-5) vs #1 Baylor Bears (22-1)
Saturday, February 15th – 4:00pm ET – Ferrell Center, Waco, TX
Betting Line: TBD
The number one team in the nation will host the 14th ranked Mountaineers this Saturday.
Baylor is unbeaten since losing to Washington in their second game of the season. It’s been pure domination since then. This month alone, the Bears have won 68-52 vs. TCU, 73-67 at Kansas State, 78-70 vs Oklahoma State, and 52-45 at Texas.
MaCio Teague has been on a tear. The third year guard is averaging over 16 points per game and six assists while shooting 46% from the field and 42% from three-point range over the last six games.
Teague and Jared Butler lead the team in points per game.
Butler is averaging 15 points per game on the season while shooting 41% from the field.
Freddie Gillsepie is among the best big men in the Big 12. Gillespie is grabbing nine boards per game to go along with almost 10 points per game. He’s also blocking 2.3 shots per game.
Baylor has been very kind to backers this season. They’ve covered the spread in 14 of their last 20 games (70%).
West Virginia is coming off a big road loss. The Sooners dropped the Mountaineers 69-59 on Saturday. Up next, WVU will host #3 Kansas on Wednesday night. The Mountaineers may be in for a rough week. They’re 3-4 SU in their last 7 games and 1-3 ATS in their last four.
Oscar Tshiebwe is the shining star on this Mountaineers team. He leads the team in points (11.5), rebounds (9.1), and blocks (1.2) per game.
Derek Culver is not far behind with 10.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks per game.
Even so, the Bears may be too much for this WVU team to handle.
