The RBC Heritage has attracted a quality field and we look at the one-on-one tournament matchups.
Defending champion Webb Simpson features as do the likes of Collin Morikawa, Brian Harman, Will Zalatoris, and Ian Poulter.
Bettors always get value online sports betting odds for golf matchups, so it’s all about picking the right ones.
Webb Simpson vs Patrick Cantlay
Backing defending champions is always a smart idea.
Webb Simpson played terrifically on this course in 2020 and he’s worth backing again.
He comes up against Patrick Cantlay, who missed the cut at The Masters. He shot +8 for his two rounds.
Simpson went under the radar when finishing T12 and he shot -2 in the final round, so he’s primed and ready to fire.
He took second-hand advice from Phil Mickelson, who indirectly told Simpson how to play at Augusta.
“He said ‘every hole here gives you a bail-out. Every hole there’s a safe side of the hole, where that’s not typically thought of at Augusta.’ Everyone thinks of Augusta as, you miss the green, you’re going to have a really tough chip,” Simpson told Golf.com.
Bettors get -140 odds for Simpson to better Cantlay this week and we’ll be cheering him home.
Pick: Webb Simpson -140
Collin Morikawa vs Patrick Cantlay
We predict a poor result for Cantlay, so why not double up?
Collin Morikawa is a player who can match Cantlay toe-for-toe when they’re both playing well, and Morikawa has much better form.
“I don’t think we say thank you enough, so I want to say thank you to Tiger.”
Collin Morikawa just won his fourth PGA Tour event. He joins Tiger Woods as the only players to have won a major and WGC title before age 25 🙏

The 2020 PGA Championship winner has been rock-solid throughout his fledgling career and he doesn’t need an ounce of confidence. Morikawa is one of the most confident players on the PGA Tour, unlike Cantlay.
Cantlay can get down on himself when things are going well. It often results in a bad hole and for that reason, we’re locking in Collin Morikawa to win the head-to-head matchup.
Golf lines have +120 for Morikawa, which is good shopping in our books.
Pick: Collin Morikawa +120
Brian Harman vs Harris English
Brian Harman is on fire and the left-hander is our clear pick to beat Harris English.
He comes off a series of strong results, including at The Masters. Harman finished T12 at The Masters and T3 at The Players.
English wasn’t far away last week either, but Harman has a newfound confidence and we’re confident he can get the job done.
The book has Harman as the -135 favorite, which is on the short side, but bettors should include the lefty in golf parlays.
Harman is a player who could win shortly, so he’s not a bad tournament bet either.
Pick: Brian Harman -130
Sungjae Im vs Will Zalatoris
We think Will Zalatoris will be a PGA Tour winner shortly and the RBC Heritage is right up his alley.
Coming off a high at The Masters, where he finished second, won’t be easy, but the youngster hasn’t shown any signs of buckling under the pressure.
His form in 2021 has been excellent and with no disrespect intended towards Sungjae Im, we don’t think he stands a chance this week.
Bettors should be confident with Will Zalatoris on their ticket and the odds available are well worth taking.
