Here are some players who will contend at Riviera CC for the Genesis Invitational, and you can bet on these golf futures in our online sportsbook. Remember to bet on the matchups, top-10, top-20 and Live Betting always!
The greens at Riviera are poa annua like at last week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, but this golf course plays longer at 7,322 yards with a par of 71. The course will require an all-around performance from the winner. Hitting fairways is far from a given and the Sikuya rough makes it a tough go to hit greens in regulation from there.
Genesis Invitational Field is Stacked
The Genesis Invitational is loaded with the best golfers in the world this week. Seven of the world’s 10 highest ranked players will be playing at Riviera. This includes the betting favorite Dustin Johnson coming in off a week of rest following his win in Saudi Arabia.
Review of Last Week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Golf Picks Results
Jordan Spieth (20/1) – Tie for 3rd Place
Jason Day (17/1) – Tie for 7th Place
Kevin Streelman – (32/1) – 13th Place
Brendan Steele – (50/1) – Tie for 34th Place
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am went extremely close to what was laid out here last week. We stayed away from the favorites Daniel Berger and Patrick Cantlay. We were looking for what was almost a great catch, with the big betting favorite Dustin Johnson taking a week off, which should have paid nicely for you betting on the matchups and prop bets.
Our futures picks hit on three out of four in the top 13 with only our longshot golf bet Brendan Steel finishing out of that in a tie for 34th place. For all sports betting news, betting picks and betting advice check out the Locker Room at BetUS.
Genesis Invitational Golf Futures Picks at Riviera Country Club:
Favorites
Dustin Johnson 5/1
This is such an obvious choice as the betting favorite that he needs to be discussed for this week’s golf futures picks. Besides the fact he is number one in the world, Dustin has been bustin’ this PGA tournament up with nine top 10 finishes in his 13 appearances including a 2017 Genesis win.
Dustin has four wins in his last 10 tournaments and is obviously on fire, but his odds to win seem a bit low in an event with 20 of the top 30 golfers in the world.
Adam Scott 28/1
Your defending winner at Riviera is Adam Scott, after being down by eight strokes after the first round last year. That isn’t the main reason he makes our picks this week but he offers a great bargain at a course at which he has consistency.
He is your earning leader all time at the Genesis Invitational with top-10 finishes in six of the 12 times he has played here. Scott offers odds of +550 to finish in the top five and +260 to finish in the top-10 this week.
Joaquin Niemann 40/1
Niemann just took a month off and is coming into Los Angeles rested and looking for a victory after sniffing one at both PGA Tour events in Hawaii. He finished runner-up after a playoff in the Sentry Tournament of Champions and tied for second at the Sony Open in Hawaii, both in January.
This is the third time he has played in the Genesis Invitational. He missed the cut last year and tied for 44th in 2019, but his game has evolved so quickly we must take note. The 22-year old golfer from Chile probably doesn’t have enough to win against this field yet, but the odds present a shot at profits.
Longshots
Bubba Watson 40/1
Watson is a player that will probably be mentioned at Riviera every year, since he won it in 2014, 2016 and 2018. He is always worth dropping a little bit of your golf betting wad on here, and in The Masters in April.
Keegan Bradley 130/1
This is a big longshot that has been top five in ball striking for a while. That is important at the tough Riviera Country Club. Bradley offers some upside on prop bets and, if you have the ‘nads, throw a small chunk on him to take home the win.
The Live Betting at BetUS every week for PGA Tour events is unique in the online sportsbook game, and it offers something you can take advantage of. Do it!!
