Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)

Tom Brady is back in the postseason, but he’s not wearing a Patriot’s uniform. The Buccaneers have all the pieces for a Super Bowl Odds run. It’s just a matter of them not getting tripped up along the way. Tampa Bay has won fours straight to close the season, and seem to just be warming up.

The Buccaneers are averaging 36.7 PPG on their current winning streak, and WR Antonio Brown has scored a TD in three consecutive contests. Brady has thrown eight touchdowns in his previous two starts, and is clearly on a mission.

I love the WFT and have a lot of respect for what QB Alex Smith has overcome to return to professional football, but Washington has no chance here. Smith is banged up, and WR Terry McLaurin and RB Antonio Gibson are less than 100%. Rookie DE Chase Young can’t do it all on his own (but I believe he’ll sack Brady in this game, as promised).

The WFT has plenty to look forward to next season, but this playoff run starts and ends on FedEx Field. Expect the Buccaneers to smash these poor souls on their home turf, covering the spread fairly easily. Buccaneers 34, WFT 20

Over/Under (Zack Robinson)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers average 30.8 points per game (third-best), but they scored 44 and 47 points in their last two regular-season games. Yes, it was against the Lions and Falcons, but they showed the power and depth everybody was expecting since day one.

Against the Lions, 11 different receivers caught at least one pass, while eight different receivers did it against the Falcons. Tom Brady threw eight touchdown passes.

Tampa Bay also haa a good backfield with Ronald Jones and Leonard Fournette leading the way. The total has gone under in four of their last five games against Washington.

The Washington Football Team average 20.9 points per game, but the defense compensates that by allowing just 20.6 points per game. Rookie DE Chase Young has been sensational, and he said that he’s going for Tom Brady.

Alex Smith and Antonio Gibson are back. Terry McLaurin finished with 1,118 receiving yards; he and Logan Thomas are Smith’s preferred targets.

The total has gone under in their last five games.

Go under.
