Ryan Blaney will look to repeat his performance from 2019 as the champion of the YellaWood 500. The 2020 edition is back to the Talladega Speedway in Lincoln, Alabama on Sunday. This is yet another NASCAR betting playoff race and one step closer to crowning a champion. Let’s take a sports betting look at our 2020 YellaWood 50 Betting Preview.
Denny Hamlin +950
The #11 FedEx Ground car will be in the mix from start to finish. This member of the Joe Gibbs Racing team has been excellent all season. The 40-year-old is third in the Cup standings right now after his third-place finish in Las Vegas last weekend. Hamlin has been a Top 10 machine with 18, and a Top 5 guy with 16. His six wins are near the top. There is little doubt why this guy is one of the betting favorites.
Joey Logano +1000
Logano has gone back-to-back weeks without finishing inside the Top 10. The sixth-ranked racer is looking to regain the magic he had when he won this event in both 2015 and ’16. Logano has two wins this season, but we know he is always a threat to win. Logano, who turned 30 this fall will be driving the #22 Ford Car as a member of Team Penske. Joey is listed at 10-1 odds to win.
Ryan Blaney +1000
It is clear that Blaney likes this track. Now, can he win back-to-back something that has not been done since Logano. The 2019 winner has had an interesting season, with one win. He is ranked 13th in the Cup standings with just under 2,100 points. Last weekend in Las Vegas, Blaney finished seventh after starting 15th. It snapped a three-race streak of finishing outside the Top 10. He is out of Championship contention.
Chase Elliott +950
Elliott is the driver of the #9, UniFirst car, which is part of Team Hendrick Motorsports. Elliott is seventh in the standings, with just over 3,050 points. He is coming off a 22nd-place finish, which comes after fifth and seventh-place finishes. Elliott has won just two races this season, but has been inside the Top 5, 11 times. Elliott started the month as the leader at Darlington, but had a tough time, finishing 20th.
Brad Keselowski +950
The 36-year-old from Michigan was the 2014 and ’17 winner. He is ranked fourth in the Cup standings following his 13th-place finish in Vegas. Two weeks ago, Keselowski won the at Richmond. The Discount Tire car as a member of Team Penske is always right around the corner from winning a race every time out. We will see if this one is the same.
Kevin Harvick +1200
With crew chief Rodney Childers at the helm, Harvick will be aiming for Hamlin the rest of the season. This has been a great race with these two. Harvick will look to bounce back from his 10th-place finish last weekend, despite starting 1st. Despite the struggle last weekend, he has two wins this month; at Darlington, and at Bristol.
That’s a close look at the best drivers when it comes to the YellaWood 500. The track at Talladega should lead to some interesting finishes. Hopefully. our betting preview gives you a step ahead as you prepare for the big race. We hope you enjoy the race and make your bet with BetUS sportsbook, win some big money over the weekend!
