61st Daytona 500 Betting Preview

Daytona 500
Sunday, February 17th - 2:30 PM ET
Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, FL

The stage is almost set for the 61st Daytona 500 this Sunday, February 17. The track at Daytona International Speedway is 2.5 miles long and has four turns banked at 31 degrees. The front stretch is banked at 18 degrees. Drivers will complete over 200 laps on the asphalt superspeedway to kick off the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, Daytona will be the grand marshal at this year's Daytona 500. He will be the first NFL player to hold the honor. NASCAR great Dale Earnhardt Jr. will serve as the honorary pace truck driver.

William Byron, will be the pole sitter at the Daytona 500 after qualifying with a time of 46.319 and a speed of 194.305 mph. The top four drivers to finish were all Hendrick Motorsports members. Byron was accompanied by Alex Bowman, Jimmie Johnson, and Chase Elliott in the top four. Austin Dillon, who won the race last year, finished with the 10th best time in the qualifier.

Six of the top 10 qualifying drivers were behind the wheel of a Chevrolet. Martin Truex Jr. finished sixth for Joe Gibbs Racing and Team Toyota while Joey Logano, Clint Bowyer, and Brad Keselowski all came through for Ford.

The BetUS Sportsbook has over dozens of bets you can place on the Daytona 500. Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano are the favorites to win the Daytona 500 at +750. Denny Hamlin is the next favorite at +950 odds.

Keselowski finished with 14 top 5 finishes in 2018, including four first place finishes. He has 27 career wins in NASCAR's premier series.

Logano is the reigning Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion. He drives No. 22 for Team Penske Ford. Logano is a 21-time Cup winner, including a win at the 2015 Daytona 500. I like Logano to make a splash at Daytona International Speedway this Sunday. Logano at -135 over Clint Bowyer and Kevin Harvick are matchups worth betting.

Joey Logano -135
Clint Bowyer +115

Joey Logano -135
Kevin Harvick +115

Austin Dillon, the most recent winner of the Daytona 500 is also worth a look over Kyle Larson. Both drivers are at -110 in the matchup.

With both Logano and Keselowski as favorites to win the Daytona 500, Ford +120 is the favorite to finish as the leading manufacturer at the race. Team Chevrolet +245 has some great drivers behind the wheel and may be worth a closer look.
