NBA Best Pick of the Week: Miami Heat vs. Golden State Warriors

The NBA will honor the Thanksgiving Day holiday by taking that day off, but the schedule is loaded up the rest of the week. There are some terrific matchups on the schedule, but we are looking for the best game to bet on. Friday night is where we find the NBA Best Pick of the Week when the Miami Heat host the Golden State Warriors.

Golden State fans knew that this would be a down year for their favorite team, but they never could have imagined it would be this bad. The Warriors are just 3-14 through their first 17 games, and they look like one of the worst teams in the league. The Miami Heat are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference so far this season, and they are playing well. Miami enters the week with a record of 11-4, and have a commanding lead in the Southeast Division.

Injuries Have Killed Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have been without their entire starting lineup at times this season, and they are being forced to play a ton of young players. Obviously it has been hard to score points without those players, but the defense has been an even bigger issue for this team. The Warriors are giving up more than 118 points per game, and that could be a major issue against a great Heat offense in this game.

The Warriors are still scoring more than 108 points per game this season, but they don't have the same quick strike ability that they were famous for in recent seasons. Eric Paschall has stepped up to lead this team with more than 18 points per game, but the Warriors no longer have any "Splash Brothers" on the floor. Head coach Steve Kerr has done his best with this team, but they just don't have much talent.

Heat Have Plenty of Offensive Depth

The Miami Heat have a clear leader on offense in Jimmy Butler, but he has gotten a ton of help this season. Butler leads the team with 19 points and 7 assists per game, and he has given this team plenty of confidence. Shooting guard Kendrick Nunn is averaging 17 points per game this season, and the Heat can really shoot the ball. Look for Miami to score a ton of points in this game.

Defense has also been a strength for the Miami Heat this season, and they are allowing less than 105 points per game. Center Bam Adebayo is averaging more than 10 rebounds per game this season to go along with 1.3 blocks per game. Butler is also one of the best defensive players in the NBA, and he sets the tone for this team.

Heat Blow Out Banged Up Warriors

There are some terrific games on the schedule this week around the NBA, but this will not be one of them. The Golden State Warriors have been one of the worst teams in the NBA so far this season, while the Miami Heat continue to stun everyone. Miami looks like one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, and they should dominate this game. Bet the Miami Heat over the Golden State Warriors on Friday night in the NBA Best Pick of the Week.
