The Sacramento Kings look to extend their winning ways when they host the Denver Nuggets on Saturday. Sacramento has picked up the level of its play recently and now looks like a potential layoff participant out west. On the flip side of the coin, the Nuggets have not looked nearly as formidable as they did last season when they reached the Western Conference Finals. Here is a look at all of tonight’s Nuggets vs Kings betting NBA Odds.
With both teams going all out to get the win on Saturday, let’s find out which ballclub is offering the best value against the sportsbook betting odds surrounding this affair.
Denver Nuggets (12-9) at Sacramento Kings (10-11)
When: Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021 at 5 p.m. ET
Where: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, CA
The D Is Missing In Denver
The defense is missing in Denver NBA betting enthusiasts. The Nuggets have dropped two of three and were embarrassed on Thursday night by the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers, 114-93. Up by a dozen points at the break, Denver completely fell apart in the second half. The Nuggets were outscored by 20 points in the third quarter and 13 points in the fourth.
Jamal Murray scored a team-high 20 points and Monte Morris added 16 points, but Denver didn’t put up much of a fight after the break.
“Offensively, we just didn’t move the ball enough,” Murray said. “They just ran us in that second half — layups, dunks.”.
Sacramento Is Suddenly Surprising
Sacramento suddenly looks competitive. The Kings have won five of six and come into this affair fresh off a 116-111 home win over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday after taking down the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday.
De’Aaron Fox scored a team-high 26 points and dished out 11 assists. Buddy Hield added 15 points and 11 rebounds and drained a pair of free throws with six-tenths of a second remaining to seal the deal for the red-hot Kings.
“We found a way to grind that one out,” Kings coach Luke Walton said. “The first half it was kind of survival mode. We couldn’t make any open shots, we were missing layups, we weren’t attacking. Our guys found a way. Not the prettiest of wins, but what a gutsy performance by our guys.”
Sacramento held Boston to two field goals over the final 2:26.
“Defensively, that has to be our hallmark,” Harrison Barnes said. “When we don’t, it gets ugly. Shout out to our bigs for protecting the paint. There were a lot of pick-and-rolls tonight and our guards were being active.”
Betting Analysis and Prediction
The thought of Sacramento beating Denver would have been laughable weeks ago, but it’s not anymore. The Kings have scored 116 points or more in four of their last five victories while limiting the opposition to 109 points or less in four of those wins.
Denver has won six of eight, but the Nuggets look like a team that is lacking in confidence and courage these days. The Nuggets are 1-5 ATS in their last six meetings against Sacramento. The Kings have gone an unblemished 5-0 ATS over their last five games. I’m sorry, but after seeing Denver just lay down and quit against the Lakers on Thursday night, I just don’t believe the Nuggets are worthy of a wager in this matchup.
Pick: Kings 117, Nuggets 112
