Top NCAA Betting Picks of the Week

Every week seems to bring new surprises in the world of NCAA basketball, and this weekend is likely to be no different. There are some terrific games on the schedule this weekend, but we have picked out the three best betting picks of the week. Take a look at our breakdown of each game below and enjoy the college basketball games this weekend.

Illinois Fighting Illini vs. Maryland Terrapins:

Both Illinois and Maryland are tied atop the Big Ten Standings heading into this game, and this should be a battle. Life on the road in the Big Ten Conference has been a grind all season long, but both of these teams have picked up some wins. The Terrapins are the 9th ranked team in the country, while Illinois is number 20.

Maryland earned a come from behind win over Illinois in the first meeting of the season, and this one should be great as well. Both teams have terrific big men, but the difference is going to be guard play. Both Illinois and Maryland are also terrific on defense, and points will be hard to come by in this game.  Ayo Dosunmo is a clutch performer for Illinois, and he will lead his team to victory in this game. Expect a low scoring affair, but taking Illinois is the right play.

Auburn Tigers vs. LSU Tigers:

It you are a fan of offense then this might be the best game of the weekend to watch. Both Auburn and LSU are scoring more than 79 points per game this season, but they get it done in different ways. Auburn is going to shoot a ton of three-point shots, while LSU will be looking to attack the rim.

Guard Samir Doughty leads the Auburn attack with over 15 points per game, but they have several other players who can really score the basketball. Auburn will give up some points, but they think they can outscore any team that they play.

LSU is led by guard Skylar Mays who is scoring more than 15 points per game. Mays is capable of breaking down any defense, and he will be hard for Auburn to stop. The problem is that LSU just really doesn't defend, and that's going to be a problem in this one.

Bet the Auburn Tigers over the LSU Tigers in this SEC showdown.

Michigan State Spartans at Michigan Wolverines:

Michigan State and Michigan don't like each other, and this is always one of the best games of the year. Both the Spartans and Wolverines have been hard to figure out this season as well. Michigan State is led by Cassius Winston who is averaging over 16 points and 7 assists per game this season. The Spartans also have a talented big man in Xavier Tillman, and he should have a monster game in this one.

Michigan wants to shoot a ton of three-point shots, and they are capable of shooting it well. The Wolverines are a much better shooting team at home, but their defense has really hurt them this season. Michigan doesn't have one go-to scorer, but all five starters have the ability to score in double figures. The Wolverines just don't score the ball well enough to make up for their inability to stop opposing big men.
