NCAA Football Top Picks of the Week

The 2019 NCAA Football season is nearing the halfway point, and conference games are in full swing. Teams are starting to separate themselves from the pack in several conferences, while others are trying to play their way back into the conference race. There aren't a ton of important games on the schedule this weekend, but there are a trio of games featuring a pair of top-25 teams. Let's take a look at these three games and give a betting pick and prediction for each game.

Auburn Tigers -3.5 at Florida Gators:

Both Florida and Auburn come into this game with a perfect 5-0 record, and they both feel like they can win the SEC this season. Auburn has faced a much more difficult schedule up to this point, but Florida has looked impressive in all of their victories. The Florida Gators have given up less than nine points per game this season, and their defense will have to be sharp again in this one. Florida is playing with a backup quarterback in Kyle Trask, but he has completed over 77 percent of his pass attempts this season. Auburn loves to run the ball, and they have a stable of running backs at their disposal. Freshman quarterback Bo Nix still has some room to grow, but this offense is capable of scoring in a hurry. Look for the Tigers to solve the Florida defense and come up with a huge road win at the Swamp.

Iowa Hawkeyes +6.5 at Michigan Wolverines:

The Big Ten Conference is still wide open this season as well, but that could change this weekend. Michigan will host Iowa in a battle that is extremely important to both teams. The Wolverines had a nice bounce back win in week five after getting blown out by Wisconsin. Iowa brings a perfect 4-0 record into this game, and they will have an upset on their minds. Don't expect many points in this game, as both of these teams play terrific defense. Michigan has more talent on offense, but Iowa always seems to find a way. This game is going to be close throughout, and the wise pick is taking the +6.5 points and picking the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Ohio State Buckeyes -19.5 vs. Michigan State Spartans:

Another huge matchup in the Big Ten is the Ohio State Buckeyes hosting the Michigan State Spartans. This game has a much larger spread, and Ohio State has looked like the class of the conference so far. Quarterback Justin Fields is putting up some eye popping numbers for the Buckeyes on offense, and Ryan Day has his team playing defense at an elite level as well. Michigan State will always play a tough brand of football under head coach Mark Dantonio, but they just don't have a ton of talent this season. Ohio State has not been slowed down all season long, and Michigan State won't be able to do it either.Take the Ohio State Buckeyes -19.5 over Michigan State in this game.
