J-E-T-S! Jets! Jets! Jets!

The Jets won a game and it couldn't have been against a better opponent: the Dallas Cowboys. If you're not a Cowboys fan, you were a Jets fan on Sunday.

Now that we've had our fun, it's back to reality.

The Jets will come crashing down from their high this Monday night when they host the New England Patriots.

I said it two three ago when the Cowboys were undefeated and traveling to New Orleans: they had not beaten anyone of substance. Wins over the Giants, Redskins, and Dolphins are nothing to clamour about. Since then, they've lost three straight games to New Orleans, Green Bay, and the Jets.

I say that to say this: don't put too much stock in the Jets' win either. They're a bad team that beat another bad team -- or should I say a poorly coached team?

Having Sam Darnold back under center is big for New York. He's their young, starting quarterback that looks to be the future of this team. Darnold got his team an early lead and never let up. The Jets ultimately won 24-22. They were up by as much as 15.

Sam Darnold passed for 338 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. Robby Anderson caught five passes for a game-high 125 yards and a touchdown.

New York did not commit a turnover.

Le'Veon Bell has still not found his groove on this offense. He rushed for just 50 yards and a score on 3.6 yards per carry. Bell also caught one pass for three yards.

Speaking of teams that are getting way too much praise -- the Patriots are 6-0 on the season. They have the "best defense in the NFL". But do they really? New England has faced some of the worst teams in the NFL so far. Sure, they're undefeated, but their wins are over: Pittsburgh, Miami, the Jets, Buffalo, Washington, and the Giants.

For what it's worth, Tom Brady has not looked great this season. He's getting hit a lot and his passes are not looking as crisp as we're used to seeing.

Nonetheless, we're talking about the Pats versus the Jets.
A healthy Sam Darnold is not enough for me to take the Jets over New England even with a 9.5 point spread. New England already beat New York 30-14 this season. In fact, they've beaten almost every team in the tri-state area.

Give up the points and take the Pats. They'll win comfortably as they usually do versus NY.
