2020 NFL Season Prop Bets

2020 NFL Season Prop Bets

The 2020 NFL season is just months away, and it's looking more and more like the season will be able to start on time. The NFL has already released their 2020 regular season schedule and they are preparing for games to kick off in September.

With that in mind, now is a great time to start looking at 2020 NFL season prop bets. BetUS has a number of terrific betting options available, and action can be taken right now on all of these prop bets.

Let's look at some of the top season prop betting options and deliver the best picks for each category.

Odds to Win AFC Conference

Kansas City Chiefs                 +300
Baltimore Ravens                   +300
New England Patriots             +1000
Pittsburgh Steelers                +1000
Buffalo Bills                           +1000
Indianapolis Colts                  +1000

There are six pretty clear cut favorites in the AFC, with two teams standing way above the rest. The Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens appear to be on a collision course to meet in the AFC Championship Game.

The New England Patriots are in the next group of four despite losing out on Tom Brady. Even though there are four teams listed at +1000, each of those teams seem to have a pretty big flaw.

There isn't a ton of value in picking the Chiefs of the Ravens, but that's exactly what you should do. Kansas City is the reigning Super Bowl champion, and it's hard to see them being any worse this season.

If you are going to make a bet on the AFC Champion, the smart play is betting on the Chiefs at +300.

Odds to Win NFC Conference

San Francisco 49ers              +400
Tampa Bay Buccaneers         +500
New Orleans Saints               +550
Dallas Cowboys                     +750
Philadelphia Eagles                +900
Green Bay Packers                +1000
Seattle Seahawks                  +1000

The NFC feels a bit more wide open than the AFC, even though the reigning conference champions are still the big favorite. San Francisco suffered a tough loss in Super Bowl 54, and they will be back and out for revenge this season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the huge surprise on this list, checking in at +500. The signing of Tom Brady and acquiring Rob Gronkowski appears to have the Buccaneers ready to contend.

The NFC should be a crazy ride this season, and something unexpected is likely to happen. With all of the uncertainty, it's best to look for some value in this bet, and you will find it with the Green Bay Packers at +1000. They were in the NFC title game a season ago, and they will win it this season.

Offensive Rookie of the Year

Joe Burrow                            +225
Clyde Edwards-Helaire           +400
Jonathan Taylor                     +900
Cam Akers                             +900
Tua Tagovailoa                       +1000
D'Andre Swift                         +1000
Jerry Jeudy                            +1600
Ceedee Lamb                         +1400
Justin Herbert                        +1600

The Offensive Rookie of the Year Award is always a great NFL season betting option, and that is the case once again this season. Quarterbacks were the major story during the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and there are a number of great options listed at BetUS.

Joe Burrow is the huge favorite to win this award, and he should have plenty of success in Cincinnati. Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert should also win the starting job in training camp and could push to win the award.

There is so much that plays into a quarterback winning the award though, and that's why it's best to look elsewhere. CeeDee Lamb was taken by the Dallas Cowboys in the first round, and he should have a monster season. There is also a ton of value at taking him at +1400, and that is the right pick.

Defensive Rookie of the Year

Chase Young              +400
Isaiah Simmons          +800
Patrick Queen             +1000

Even though offensive playmakers were the big story in the 2020 NFL Draft, there were still a number of great defensive players that got taken. BetUS has odds listed for more than 20 defensive rookies, but there are just three main players that stand out.

Chase Young was the second overall draft pick, and he will be a major force with the Washington Redskins. Linebacker Isaiah Simmons out of Clemson should turn around a bad Arizona defense, and he will receive plenty of attention. Patrick Queen, linebacker from LSU, will become a force with the Baltimore Ravens from day one.

Young is the easy pick in this one, but that's not the way to go. Bet on Patrick Queen at +1000 to win the Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Defensive Player of the Year

Aaron Donald              +700
Nick Bosa                   +900
J.J Watt                      +1000
TJ Watt                       +1000
Khalil Mack                 +1200

This list is loaded with players who can rack up sacks and make life difficult for opposing quarterbacks. Aaron Donald is widely considered the best defensive player in the NFL, but he has some stiff competition.

Nick Bosa transformed the 49ers defense a season ago, and he will have another monster year. The Watt brothers are both capable of winning this award, but health is sometimes an issue.

The right pick for the 2020 Defensive Player of the Year Award though is Khalil Mack at +1200. Mack had a disappointing 2019 season with the Bears, but he will bounce back to win this award this season.

Regular Season MVP

Quarterbacks dominate the regular season MVP betting odds, and for good reason. The award is usually given to the best quarterback in the league, and that will likely be the case again in 2020.

Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson have won the last two regular season MVP Awards and they are the clear favorites heading into the season. It's hard to imagine another quarterback taking the award away from them, but crazier things can happen.

The best bet in this category is taking Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers at +2000. Rodgers was not happy with the Packers first round draft pick, and he will be out to prove them all wrong. Don't be surprised if Rodgers has a career year and wins the MVP Award.

Patrick Mahomes       +450
Lamar Jackson          +700
Russell Wilson           +900
Dak Prescott              +1200
Deshaun Watson        +2000
Aaron Rodgers           +2000
Carson Wentz            +2000
Drew Brees                +2000
