Straight Up (Sebastian Morera)
The Bills are undefeated and have looked phenomenal through 3 weeks of pro football betting. They opened things up with a solid AFC East win over Buffalo, followed by another divisional victory over the Miami Dolphins 31-28. Last week the Bills won a shootout against the Rams 35-32 and are looking to remain undefeated against the Raiders.
Derek Carr & Co. had a 2-0 start to the year but suffered their first loss of the season to the Pats in Week 3 36-20. This weekend I’m expecting Josh Allen to come out and have another big day as he leads Buffalo to 4-0.
Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)
Bills’ QB Josh Allen is another guy who accounted for five touchdowns in Week 3. In an exciting 35-32 win over the L.A. Rams, Allen threw for 311 yards and four scores on 24-of-33 passing. Allen also ran in a touchdown, and is responsible for the game-winning drive which culminated in a three-yard TD strike to TE Tyler Kroft.
The Bills’ typically sturdy defense got smoked by the Rams, but the Raiders offense is limping a bit. WR Bryan Edwards is officially out, and WR Henry Ruggs is a big question mark. Even if Ruggs plays, he’s not at 100%. Raiders’ QB Derek Carr has to turn to TE Darren Waller, who was shut down by the Patriots last week. Waller was schemed against by New England coach Bill Belichick, and only caught two balls for nine yards.
If Buffalo’s D can perform similarly against Waller, the Raiders will be one-dimensional and RB Josh Jacobs will be less effective. All of this adds up to the Bills beating the Raiders in Vegas by a score of, let’s say, 30-20.
