Straight Up (Sebastian Morera)
Surprisingly enough, the Bears are 4-1. While the record alone is impressive, the fact that Chicago is 4-1 despite making a swap at quarterback says volumes about their defense. Furthermore, with yet another win over Tom Brady, Nick Foles has cemented himself as the quarterback of the Chicago Bears. Now it’s up to Foles to get the job done against the Carolina Panthers in Week 6.
The Panthers are 3-2 but don’t let that record fool you. They enter this weekend’s action riding a 3-game winning streak and have no intention of letting up anytime soon. The odds have been pegging them as the underdog but Carolina keeps on winning. Now they’re getting the favoritism so it’s up to them to show the bookmakers that they’re worthy of being favored. Take the Panthers here.
Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)
The Chicago Bears (4-1) hit a bump in the road with a home loss vs the Colts in Week 4, but rebounded with a gutsy win vs the Buccaneers last week. The Bears have found ways to win all season, yet always seem to be underestimated. Chicago is now well-rested after its Thursday night victory over Tampa Bay, and the Bears are a sexy underdog pick ATS in Week 6.
It’s not like the Carolina Panthers (3-2) will be pushovers. Carolina has won three straight games after losing 10 in a row, and this has all been accomplished without the services of stud RB Christian McCaffrey. The Panthers have played impressive football as of late, but the streak ends here. Carolina’s injury report is long, and Bears’ QB Nick Foles will finally have an opportunity to face a weak passing defense. Take the Bears with the points in Bank of America Stadium this Sunday.

Over/Under (Zack Robinson)
Nick Foles vs Teddy Bridgewater in 2020. That’s right, both QBs have fought to remain in the league and this season both are in good situations.
Foles and the Chicago Bears are 4-1 and he’s regaining confidence after replacing Mitch Trubisky. Foles has developed good chemistry with TE Jimmy Graham and WR Allen Robinson.
The Bears’ running game needs a spark. Chicago averages 21 points per game and the total has gone under in eight of Chicago’s last eleven games when playing as the underdog.
Bridgewater comes from his best game after throwing for 313 yards and 2 touchdowns, but it was against a vulnerable Atlanta Falcons team.
Nevertheless, Bridgewater has proved that he can carry the team in Christian McCaffrey’s absence. RB Mike Davis is playing well, too.
The Panthers average 24.4 points per game and the total has gone over in seven of Carolina’s last eleven games. Go under once again.
