Straight Up (Sebastian Morera)

The Bengals are off to an 0-2 start but that doesn’t mean we should expect Cincinnati to lose here. After all, they’re facing off against the 0-2 Eagles. On top of that, rookie Joe Burrow is having a better season than Carson Wentz. Wentz is sitting on 512 passing yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions. Burrow, on the other hand, has 509 passing yards, and three touchdowns to just one interception.

Despite the difference in quarterback play, the odds are sticking with the veteran Wentz here. I have to disagree with the bookies on this one. The Bengals are averaging more points per game (21.5) than Philly (18.0) and are giving up fewer (25.5) than the Eagles (32.0) as well. Take Cincy here.

Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)

The Bengals and Eagles are each 0-2, but one of them will most likely emerge from Week 3 with a win. Rookie QB Joe Burrow has been a breath of fresh air for Cincinnati.  Burrow gives the Bengals energy and hope, poise in the pocket. As bad as they’re supposed to be, Cincinnati only lost their first two games by a total of eight points.

Philadelphia has been playing pretty disappointing football so far this season, and QB Carson Wentz appears lost. Wentz likely improves in Week 3 vs Cincinnati, mainly because Philly can lean on the running game. The Bengals have the worst run defense in the entire league, having given up 370 rushing yards in two weeks. The Eagles will have huge success with RBs Miles Sanders and Boston Scott, and win the game based on that. However, the Eagles can be thrown on and Burrow is a driven man. The Bengals cover the spread (yay!), but leave Philadelphia frustrated and looking to Week 4 for their first victory.

It’s Raining Ducketts: Free Pick ATS, Cincinnati Bengals +4 ½

Over/Under (Zack Robinson)

Rookie QB Joe Burrow is looking good but he needs to improve his chemistry with veteran A.J. Green, now more than ever after losing TE C.J. Uzomah due to an injury.

The Cincinnati Bengals are averaging 21.5 points per game, but they will be facing a defense that’s allowing 32 points per game.

Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles need to win this one, no matter how. RB Miles Sanders is back and looking good, but Wentz needs to regain his confidence and try deep passes more often.

The Eagles are averaging 18 points per game and the total has gone over in five of their last 7 seven games against the Bengals. Go over and expect some fireworks.
