Denver Broncos vs Carolina Panthers News & Picks
Denver Broncos vs Carolina Panthers Odds
**Odds as of 12/11**
Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)
The Broncos are losers of four of their last five games, and franchise savior Drew Lock is not playing well. Lock has thrown 13 interceptions in 2020, bad enough for second-most in the NFL (despite missing several games). Both the Broncos and Panthers are 4-8, but Carolina is the more complete package. RB Christian McCaffrey is returning to the Panthers’ backfield, just in time to play against his father’s former team. It’s possible that Carolina WRs D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson each eclipse the 1,000 yard mark in this contest, especially with Broncos’ CB A.J. Bouye suspended for a PED violation. Look for Carolina to thump Denver, in a bizzarro rematch of Super Bowl Odds 50. Panthers 30, Broncos 13
Over/Under (Zack Robinson)
Drew Lock is back, but the Denver Broncos are still having problems to score more than 20 points per game. They average 18.8 points per game, second worst in the league, and that’s because the New York Jets exist.
Melvin Gordon has been sensational the last couple of weeks, and TE Noah Fant and WR Tim Patrick remain as Lock’s preferred targets.
The total has gone under in five of Denver’s last six games against an opponent from the NFC South.
Good news for the Carolina Panthers; Christian McCaffrey said he feels really great and he’s coming back after missing several games due to injury.
That should take some pressure off Teddy Bridgewater shoulders, because receivers’ DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel were placed on the COVID-19 exception list.
The Panthers average 25 points per game and the total has gone over in five of their last six games played in December.
Both teams have nothing to lose; go over.
