Week 4’s Thursday Night Football brings us a battle between two winless teams. The Broncos have faced off against tough competition; Titans, Steelers and Bucs, and have come up short each time. However, there’s still plenty of football left in the season and Thursday’s match versus the Jets is a perfect opportunity for Denver to rebound.
Offensively the Broncos aren’t getting much done this season. They rank 27th in passing, 29th in rushing, and 30th in scoring. Although their defense is only giving up 23.3 points per game, Denver isn’t finding ways to win games. Fortunately for Denver, Sam Darnold’s offense is only averaging 12.3 per game – the worst average in the NFL. This should be more than enough for Denver to pick up their first win of the season.

The Denver Broncos visit MetLife Stadium to play the NY Jets in a pickem’ game between winless teams. The Broncos will start their third quarterback of this young season, and have to rely heavily on their running game.
Phillip Lindsay is expected to rejoin RBs Melvin Gordon and Royce Freeman in the Broncos’ backfield this week. The Jets run defense is ranked 24th in the league, and need to stop a respectable RB trio to have success vs Denver.
Third-year QB Sam Darnold is captaining a rickety Jets ship, and is looking to break out vs the Broncos’ 29th-ranked pass defense. Darnold has been building rapport with WR Braxton Berrios, and veteran RB Frank Gore can keep Denver honest.
TEs Chris Herndon and Robert Griffith serve as Darnold’s security blankets, when Denver’s pass rush applies pressure. Look for Darnold and the Jets to have a big game at home, beating the Broncos to earn their first win of 2020.

HC Vic Fangio confirmed that QB Brett Rypien will be under center when the Denver Broncos visit the New York Jets next Thursday Night.

After three games, the New York Jets average 12.3 points per game (worst in the league) and QB Sam Darnold has thrown more interceptions (4) than touchdown passes (3).
The total has gone under in 6 of the Jets’ last 9 games. Go under once again.
