Straight Up (Sebastian Morera)
The Lions have had a tough start. They lost their opener 27-23 to the Bears before losing 42-21 to another NFC North rival, the Green Bay Packers. Through those two games, the Lions haven’t shown much on offense. Matthew Stafford has had a rough time since his O-line is not buying him anytime. They acquired Adrian Peterson and although he’s putting up decent numbers, it’s not enough to carry this offense.
The Cardinals on the other hand, are quite content with how their 2019 No. 1 overall pick has been playing. Through two games, Kyler Murray has 516 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions to his name. On the ground, Murray has 93 rushing yards, 4 touchdowns and 3 fumbles. If Arizona can improve his turnovers, they’ll be an extremely tough team to beat. Don’t expect Detroit to come out on top here.

If healthy, Matthew Stafford can be one of the best QB’s in the NFL. WR Kenny Golladay should be back, which means the Detroit Lions should throw a lot more.
The Lions average 22 points per game. That number should increase with Golladay back and a more robust running game.
The Arizona Cardinals offensive unit is scary. A dual-threat QB in Kyler Murray, two elite WR’s in DeAndre Hopkins and Larry Fitzgerald and two solid RB’s in Kenyan Drake and Chase Edmonds.
Right now, the Cardinals average 27 points per game, but with more time and chemistry this offense can score 30+ points per game.
The total has gone over in 12 of Arizona’s last 16 games against Detroit. Go over once again.
