Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)

The Texans have won two of their last three contests, and have an outside shot at making the postseason. Houston has talent on both sides of the ball, and they’ve made an improbable run before. The Texans are three games out of the wild card hunt, fresh off a 27-20 upset of the Patriots. QB Deshaun Watson is playing extremely well, and the Houston offense should feast on Detroit’s defense. The declawed Lions got ripped up by the Panthers last week, losing 20-0 in Carolina. Detroit QB Matthew Stafford has been playing through a thumb injury, and the results haven’t been pretty. With star WR Kenny Golladay and RB D’Andre Swift out, turkey day is looking bleak for the Lions. Detroit is 6-14 ATS over their last 20 games. Expect the Texans to cover the three-point spread fairly easily on Thanksgiving, winning by about 10 points. Texans 33, Lions 23

Over/Under (Zack Robinson)

Deshaun Watson has one of the strongest arms in the league, but the Houston Texans have failed to surround him with more talent.

Yes, he has Brandin Cooks, Will Fuller and Randall Cobb, but the backfield and the offensive line are not good.

The Texans average 22.7 points per game and the total has gone under in four of Houston’s last six games.

So far, there’s no indication that Matthew Stafford could miss the game against Houston, but he will not be at 100% due to a thumb injury.

The Lions expect WR Kenny Golladay and RB D’Andre Swift to play. That would help Stafford.

Detroit also averages 22.7 points per game and the total has gone over in 10 of their last 11 games at home.

Go over as both defenses are vulnerable and both teams are desperate for a victory.
