Straight Up (Sebastian Morera)
The Texans have failed to live up to expectations as they opened 2020 with an 0-2 record. That said, Houston faced off against two of the toughest teams in the AFC. However, the Texans’ lackluster 33-16 performance against the Ravens in Week 2 has certainly affected their reputation. Now Houston looks to rebound against a Steelers team that’s looking tough.
The Steelers are undefeated. If they maintain the momentum they’ve established thus far, they shouldn’t have difficulty taking out the Texans.
Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)
The Texans are traveling to Heinz Field in search of their first victory in 2020-21. Houston’s had problems dealing with the cream of the AFC crop the first two weeks, losing to KC and Baltimore. The Texans are desperate for a win to keep their ever-slimming playoff hopes alive. That desperation will fuel them in Pittsburgh.
The Steelers are undefeated after two wobbly victories to start the season. Pittsburgh outlasted the Giants in Week 1, and survived a comeback bid by a depleted Broncos squad in Week 2. The Steelers’ defense clearly has some holes, and Texans’ QB Deshaun Watson will burst right through them.
Ben Roethlisberger and James Conner got on track in Week 2, but Houston’s D will do enough to keep the Texans in the game. Pittsburgh wins by a field goal, and Houston covers the spread, making contrarian bettors rejoice the world over.

Over/Under (Zack Robinson)
There’s no doubt that Deshaun Watson is a good quarterback, but the Houston Texans are having some trouble finding the end zone regularly.
They are averaging 18 points per game (fourth-worst in the league) and in Week 2 Will Fuller, supposedly their No. 1 receiver, didn’t register a single catch.
Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers (26 points per game) are using several ways to win games. In Week 1 it was the connection between Big Ben and Juju Smith-Schuster, and in Week 2 it was Ben’s connection with WR Diontae Johnson and RB James Conner rushing effort.
Watson needs a good game here, and Roethlisberger won’t want to waste a chance to go 3-0. Go over despite the fact that the total has gone under in four of Pittsburgh’s last six games against Houston.
