Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)

The Jacksonville Jaguars have lost 10 straight games, but have covered the spread in three of their last four. Third-stringer Mike Glennon has been confirmed as starting QB for this matchup, and Glennon fared pretty well last week vs Cleveland. Jags’ rookie RB James Robinson is in line for a lot of work, and should have success against the Vikings. Minnesota being favored by 10½ points here is ludicrous, considering that it’s higher than the 10-point line the undefeated Steelers received against the Jaguars in Week 11. The Vikings allowed almost 400 yards to the Panthers last week, and tiptoed out of U.S. Bank Stadium with a 28-27 victory. Minnesota’s secondary is riddled with injuries, and Jacksonville might even steal a victory here. My prediction is for the Vikes to win by a touchdown, narrowly escaping defeat yet again. Vikings 30, Jaguars 23

Over/Under (Zack Robinson)

Gardner Minshew III has some new competition in veteran Mike Glennon. Glennon started against the Cleveland Browns (Week 12) and he did it pretty well. With Glennon under center, the Jaguars scored more than 20 points for the first time in their last three games. Glennon’s experience also allows RB James Robinson to be more loose.

The Jaguars average 20.6 points per game (fifth worst in the league) and the total has gone under in their last five games against an opponent from the NFC.

Kirk Cousins is playing his best football of the season. He threw for 300+ yards and three touchdowns in the Minnesota Vikings’ last two games. Adam Thielen should be back from the COVID-19 exception list and rookie WR Justin Jefferson has been sensational. Also, RB Dalvin Cook is battling with Derrick Henry for the rushing title and he needs a big game to keep up.

Both secondaries are weak, so go over in a close one.
