Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos News & Picks
Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)
The Chiefs almost nonchalantly ended their one-game losing streak with a solid win in Buffalo last week. Patrick Mahomes connected with TE Travis Kelce for two TDs, and rookie RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire ran like there was a ghost behind him (For Whom The Bell Tolls). The Chiefs ran for 245 yards, but will have a tougher time against Denver’s front seven.
Defensive linemen DeMarcus Walker and Dre’Mont Jones have been practicing, and CB A.J. Bouye appears ready to play. The Broncos will be locked, loaded, and ready to defend their home turf. The Broncos are 4-1 ATS this season, and all five games they have been the underdog. This is a divisional battle, and Drew Lock should have TE Noah Fant, WR K.J. Hamler, and RB Melvin Gordon back on the field. Expect the Broncos to fight tooth and nail, losing a close game but winning against the spread. Chiefs 21, Broncos 17
Over/Under (Zack Robinson)
The Kansas City Chiefs own one of the most powerful offensive units overall.
Patrick Mahomes is running for another MVP trophy. Travis Kelce remains as one of the best TE’s in the league and Tyreek Hills is one of the fastest and more reliable WR’s to go deep.
Now, the Chiefs also have a reliable RB in Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Kansas City averages 29.2 points per game and the total has gone under in four of the Chiefs’ last five games.
The Denver Broncos regained QB Drew Lock and RB Philip Lindsay after their bye week.
TE Noah Fant is expected to be back against the Chiefs. Denver is good when moving the ball, but they have a ton of problems in the red zone.
The Broncos average 20 points per game (fourth worst in the league) and the total has gone under in thirteen of Denver’s last seventeen games at home. Go under once again.
