The Raiders are still stinging from the 45-20 smackdown they suffered against the Buccaneers at home last week. Las Vegas will come out swinging in Week 8 vs a seriously banged up Cleveland team. Raiders’ QB Derek Carr has thrown at least two TDs in five straight games, and that trend should continue against the Browns’ 29th-ranked defense.
A gimpy Baker Mayfield should lead Cleveland to piles of points vs Las Vegas’s 31st-ranked defense as well, but it won’t be enough. Mayfield will lose the shootout with Carr, and the Raiders defense steps up here to score some points of their own. The Browns leave this game with more questions than answers. Raiders 41, Browns 20
Over/Under (Zack Robinson)
Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders scored 20 points against one of the best defenses in the league (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and they have scored 34+ points in three of their six games so far.
The Raiders average 28.5 games and they’ll be facing a vulnerable Cleveland Browns secondary. The total has gone over in the Raiders’ last six games.
No Nick Chubb and Odell Beckham Jr for the Cleveland Browns. Despite all that, Baker Mayfield threw for five touchdowns (personal record) in Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Kareem Hunt has been managing the rushing duties and now Rashard Higgins is expected to replace Beckham Jr. In Week 7, Higgins finished with 6 receptions for 110 yards.
The Browns average 28.6 points per game and the total has gone over in four of Cleveland’s last five games. Expect some fireworks and go over.
