The Saints still have kinks to work out if they plan on making a serious run at the Super Bowl Odds this season. Playing the overachieving Bears, who are struggling on offense and are quite inconsistent, should help New Orleans to keep rolling. Chicago is playing on a short week, after a flat offensive effort against Los Angeles on Monday night. The Bears often seemed to be hibernating against the Rams, and ultimately fell 24-10.
Chicago is called the “Windy City” for a reason, and winds in excess of 40mph are projected for this contest. These conditions place the outcome squarely on rushing and the short passing game. The Bears have given up 4.6 YPC over their last three games, so look out for RB Alvin Kamara. The Saints will ride Kamara into the winner’s circle. Saints 24, Bears 19
Over/Under (Zack Robinson)
The New Orleans Saints won in Week 7 despite not having Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, but now they’ll be facing a much tougher defense.
Drew Brees and Alvin Kamara will be much more pressured. Jared Cook and Tre ‘Quan Smith could become the heroes.
The Saints average 30 points per game and the total has gone over in six of their last eight games against the Chicago Bears on the road.
So far, the difference between Nick Foles and Mitch Trubisky has not been much. Chicago’s backfield it’s not the shadow of what it was with Matt Forte.
The Bears average 19.7 points per game and the total has gone under in five of Chicago’s last six games.
Go under in a close one.
