Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)
The winless New York Jets (0-7) zombie-march themselves into Arrowhead Stadium for a post-Halloween bloodbath. NY won ATS last week vs the Buffalo, but this is not necessarily a great spot for a repeat performance. The reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs (6-1) are 14-2 ATS over their last 16 games, and are sharpening their knives.
NY is 1-6 ATS in its last seven games, and will soon be 1-7 ATS over eight. This should be nothing more than a tuneup game for Kansas City, and RB Le’Veon Bell has a shot at slapping Jets’ head coach Adam Gase. The Chiefs are coming off a 43-16 demolition of the Broncos in Denver, and should slash through the Jets with simple precision. Chiefs 38, Jets 9
Over/Under (Zack Robinson)
The New York Jets are winless, and they average 12.1 points per game (worst in the league).
Sam Darnold and the offense are clueless. Rumor has it that Darnold wants to be traded as the ghost of Trevor Lawrence is already flying around the Jets’ facilities.
The total has gone under in four of the Jets’ last five games, but they are facing one of the most explosive offenses in the league.
That’s right, the Kansas City Chiefs average 31.1 points per game. They scored 43 points against the Denver Broncos in Week 7.
Patrick Mahomes has thrown just one interception (first in the league) and Le’Veon Bell is regaining confidence to share the backfield with Clyde Edwards-Helaire. The total has gone over in four of Kansas City’s last six games played in November.
Go over in a blowout.
