Straight Up (Sebastian Morera)
The Eagles managed to break into the win column this past weekend with a shocking 25-20 upset win over the 49ers. Now they’re rewarded by facing the Steelers in Pittsburgh for the battle of Pennsylvania. The Eagles gave us the first tie of the season versus the Bengals in Week 3 but come in with their heads held high following that upset. But will that be enough to take out the undefeated Steelers?
Pittsburgh is coming off a terrible bye week. I say terrible because the players didn’t know they were on a bye until the Thursday or Friday of it. That meant that players weren’t enjoying their time off but instead were preparing for a game that ultimately ended up being postponed. Now the Steelers are pissed off and will tunnel that rage towards the Eagles. Expect the black and gold to beat up Philly this weekend.
Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)
The Philadelphia Eagles (1-2-1) are somehow in first place in the NFC East, and the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-0) have yet to lose a game this season. The Eagles pulled off an impressive 25-20 win last week in San Francisco vs the 49ers, but the offense is still quite banged up. The Steelers D allow the fifth-least points in the NFL, and their rushing defense is #1. Don’t expect the Eagles running game to get much traction in Heinz Field, which in turn will make life miserable for QB Carson Wentz.
The Steelers are in the middle of the pack offensively, but are still shaking off the rust. Big Ben Roethlisberger and RB James Conner were injured most of last season, and COVID-19 cut back preseason reps and practices in 2020. The Steelers received unplanned rest in Week 4, when their game vs the Tennessee Titans was rescheduled for Week 7 due to covid19 precautions. Pittsburgh is annoyed, well-rested, and eager to pound the Eagles into pulp in front of the 5,500 fans who are allowed to attend the game.

Over/Under (Zack Robinson)
The Philadelphia Eagles won their first game against an injured San Francisco 49ers team, but now they are facing one of the most productive offenses, and they are well rested after their Week 4 bye.
Yes, Carson Wentz has been playing really bad, but all the starting receivers are injured. Philly averages 21 points per game but the total has gone over in five of Philadelphia’s last six games on the road.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are well-rested, and Ben Roethlisberger and James Conner left the injuries behind.
After three games, the Steelers are averaging 26.7 points per game with a balanced offense: 242.3 passing yards and 139.7 rushing yards.
The total has gone under in five of Pittsburgh’s last 7 games played in Week 5. Go over as Philly’s defense is very vulnerable and the Steelers want to remain unbeaten.
