Straight Up (Sebastian Morera)
Philadelphia has had an abysmal start to the season. After going 0-2, the Eagles failed to defeat the winless Bengals, tying with Cincinnati instead. Now they’re facing the 2-1 49ers who will likely dominate Philly despite their numerous injuries. Nick Mullens had a decent outing in his first start against the Giants, throwing for 343 yards, a touchdown and a 108.9 passer rating.
The Niners are a more complete team and will win this game. So far in 2020, the Eagles haven’t shown much backbone. Expect San Fran to take this Week 4 contest.
Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)
The Philadelphia Eagles find themselves winless, but still in theoretical contention in the god-awful NFC East division. Philly visits San Francisco to face a 49ers team that has been decimated by injuries to start the 2020 season. It appears that Nick Mullens will still be behind center for the Niners, and that he’ll have superstar TE George Kittle back. Mullens will need Kittle, since the Eagles defense is clearly attacking the quarterback with success lately.
Philadelphia sacked the Bengals’ Joe Burrow eight times last week, and hit him 18 times. If the Eagles can replicate that performance, the 49ers may have another player on the IR after this game. San Francisco’s beastly RB Raheem Mostert and TE Jordan Reed did not practice yet this week, with Kittle and RB Jerick McKinnon on the mend.
Offensively, Philadelphia has been underachieving, missing easy completions, and making mental mistakes. One would imagine that such a trend cannot continue forever. San Francisco is without several core defensive players, including DE Dee Ford, LB Dre Greenlaw, and CB K’Waun Williams. Look for Philly to pull off the upset in San Fran, thereby entering the Eagles into the NFC East crapshoot.

Over/Under (Zack Robinson)
Well, the Philadelphia Eagles are 0-2-1 and not improving. Carson Wentz is having a lot of troubles and their running game is not good.
They average 19.7 points per game (sixth worst in the league) and the total has gone over in their last 5 games on the road.
The San Francisco 49ers managed to score 36 points in Week 3 without Jimmy Garoppolo, Raheem Mostert, Tevin Coleman, George Kittle and Jordan Reed. The thing is that their opponent was the New York Giants.
The Niners average 29 points per game and the total has gone under in 5 of their last 7 games played in October. Go under, both teams are not bringing their best versions.
