Straight Up (Sebastian Morera)

The Tom Brady-led Buccaneers enter Week 5’s NFL betting action sporting a 3-1 record that pegs them as the best team in the NFC South. After losing their season opener against the Saints, Tampa Bay has mounted a three-game winning streak over the Panthers, Broncos and Chargers. The Bucs’ running game isn’t their forte as they rank 27th. However, thanks to Brady’s experience, Tampa Bay is 9th in passing and 8th in scoring.

The Bears switched to Nick Foles this past weekend only to have their three-game win streak snapped by Philip Rivers and the Indianapolis Colts, 19-11. Now Foles and the Bears look to get the job done against Brady. Foles got the best of Brady in the Super Bowl but you can bet the 43-year old quarterback will be looking for payback.

The Bears have one of the better defenses but it won’t be enough to take out Brady. Stick with Tampa Bay.

Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)

The Bucs and Bears are both 3-1, and each are fighting for supremacy within their own divisions. Tampa Bay lost its first game of the season to New Orleans, and followed that up with three straight victories. The Buccaneers are heating up, and Tom Brady just threw for 369 yards and five touchdowns in a win vs the Chargers. Brady is missing several key offensive weapons this week, and that will allow the Bears to keep this game respectable.

Chicago is coming off of a tough loss at home to Indianapolis, and QB Nick Foles is looking to bounce back vs Tampa’s 19th-ranked pass defense. The Bears are 11-4-1 ATS over their last 16 games as underdogs at home. Take the home-dog +4.

It’s Raining Ducketts: Free ATS Pick, Chicago Bears +4

Over/Under (Zack Robinson)

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers average 29.3 points per game. The veteran QB comes from a five passing-touchdowns performance, all to different receivers.

TE O.J. Howard is out for the rest of the season due to an Achilles injury. Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate should be more involved from now on.

The total has gone over in five of Tampa Bay’s last five games played in October.

Nick Foles replaced Mitch Trubisky under center for the Chicago Bears and…they didn’t score a single touchdown in Week 4.

Foles is better than Trubisky, but he needs to prove it on the field. The Bears average 20 points per game.

The total has gone under in six of Chicago’s last seven games at home but go over in a Brady vs Foles rematch from Super Bowl LII.
