NFL Week 15 Matchups Overview

Week 15 begins on Thursday Night (last Thursday Night game of the current season). It’s going to be a divisional matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders.

There are two games scheduled for Saturday. First, the Buffalo Bills visit Mile High to face the Denver Broncos; later the Carolina Panthers visit Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers.

On Sunday, we might have an epic QB battle between Patrick Mahomes and Drew Brees, if the Saints’ star is able to return. The Cleveland Browns vs New York Giants game got flexed to Sunday Night instead of San Francisco 49ers vs Dallas Cowboys.

Last but not least, the Pittsburgh Steelers will try to return to the winning column by beating the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night.

We have you covered with the latest NFL betting news, stats, info and NFL Week 15 Odds for all matchups.

NFL Games of the Week

The Las Vegas Raiders are still in the Wild-Card hunt, but they really need to beat the already- eliminated Los Angeles Chargers.

With Aaron Rodgers playing at an MVP level, the Green Bay Packers already have won the NFC North, but they want to finish as the NFC’s No. 1 seed and in order to continue on that path, they need to beat the Carolina Panthers.

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are in command of the AFC. Thew will face a New Orleans Saints team that just lost against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cleveland Browns fought bravely against the Baltimore Ravens (Week 14) but that wasn’t enough. Now, they travel to New York to face the Giants, who are still trying to win the NFC East.

Without further ado, here are our BetUS Games of the Week for Week 15 of the 2020 NFL Season. All game preview NFL odds are as of writing.

  • Los Angeles Chargers

    VS

    Las Vegas Raiders (-3 ½)

    December 17, 8:20 pm ET

Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers (4-9) returned to the winning column after beating the Atlanta Falcons. Herbert threw for 243 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Austin Ekeler had his best game (146 total yards) since coming back from an injury, which is good news for the Chargers as they really need a more balanced offense.

Los Angeles are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games.

The Las Vegas Raiders (7-6) have lost two straight games, but they are still in the Wild-Card hunt.

RB Josh Jacobs has been on the downside lately, and Derek Carr has been committing more errors. Nevertheless, they have everything to get into the postseason, including one of the best TE’s in the league (Darren Waller)

They fired DC Paul Guenther, so you can expect a more ferocious defense.

The Raiders are 4-2 SU in their last six divisional games. They already beat the Chargers 31-26 (Week 9) and they lead the all-time series 66-54-2.

  • Carolina Panthers

    VS

    Green Bay Packers (-9)

    December 19, 1:00 pm ET

The Carolina Panthers (4-9) have lost two games in a row despite having Teddy Bridgewater back under center.

Last week, RB Mike Davis played one of his best games since replacing the injured Christian McCaffrey; he finished with 93 total yards and two touchdowns, but that wasn’t enough to beat the Denver Broncos.

McCaffrey remains questionable. He could sit out the rest of the season knowing that they are not playing for a spot in the Playoffs.

The Panthers are 5-0 ATS in their last five games on the road.

The Green Bay Packers already secured the NFC North for the second straight season.

Green Bay lead the league in points per game (31.5) and both Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams are playing really good football.

All they need is the defense to be a little bit better, especially against the pass, but the Packers are 11-1 SU in their last 12 games at home.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Carolina Panthers vs Green Bay Packers matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.

  • Kansas City Chiefs (-3½))

    VS

    New Orleans Saints

    December 20, 8:20 pm ET

Patrick Mahomes had a rough day against the Miami Dolphins (Week 14). He threw for 393 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions, but even then, the Kansas City Chiefs (12-1) had no troubles to win, that’s how good they are.

Tyreek Hill proved that he can do it all after scoring a 32-yard rushing touchdown and a 44-yard receiving touchdown. Travis Kelce leads the league in receiving yards with 1250; it would be the first time that a tight end finished the season at the top of the league in that category.

The New Orleans Saints to the Philadelphia Eagles. They already secured a playoff spot, but they want to finish at the top of the NFC.

hasn’t played since Week 8 and the Saints already said that they are not going to rush him. If Brees doesn’t play, New Orleans would need Alvin Kamara and Latavius Murray to drain the clock in order to have a chance against Mahomes.

The Saints are 2-4 in their last six games when playing at home against Kansas City.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Kansas City Chiefs vs New Orleans Saints matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.

  • Cleveland Browns (-3½)

    VS

    New York Giants

    December 14, 8:15 pm ET

The Browns have an explosive offense with Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan People-Jones and David Njoku.

Myles Garrett (10.5 sacks) is being considered a Defensive Player of the Year candidate, but the rest of the defensive unit needs to be better in order to be able to compete against other explosive offenses.

The Browns are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games on the road.

The New York Giants (5-8) have Daniel Jones back under center, but they lost against the Arizona Cardinals. Jones was sacked eight times, and their only touchdown was through the ground.

Despite all that, the Giants still have pretty good chances of winning the NFC East, but they can’t afford another defeat.

The Giants are 4-1 SU in their last five games when playing at home against Cleveland.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Cleveland Browns vs New York Giants matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.

  • Pittsburgh Steelers (-13)

    VS

    Cincinnati Bengals

    December 21, 7:05 pm ET

The Pittsburgh Steelers have lost two games in a row, the second against another AFC candidate (Buffalo Bills).

Ben Roethlisberger and the offense (26.8 points per game) haven’t been playing well enough, and the defense is getting tired out there. They scored less than 20 points in their last three games.

RB James Conner is back, but he’s going to need more time to regain some confidence and rhythm.

The Steelers are 10-3-2 ATS in their last 15 games against Cincinnati.

The Bengals (2-10-1) are already thinking about next season, but they have had some good news the last couple of weeks. Veteran A.J. Green scored again, and RB Trayveon Williams emerged as a solid option to replace Joe Mixon.

Brandon Allen beat Ryan Finley for the starting QB job. Next season he’ll be backing up Joe Burrow.

The Bengals are 1-5 ATS in their last six games played in December. Pittsburgh already beat Cincy this season 36-10 (Week 10)

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.

  • Buffalo Bills (-7)

    VS

    Denver Broncos

    December 19, 1:00 pm ET

For the first time since 1999, the Buffalo Bills (10-3) will finish with at least 10 victories for the second straight season.

Josh Allen has been sensational under center, and Stefon Diggs was the piece the offense needed to be able to compete against any defense, including the Steelers’ one (allows 18.2 points per game but the Bills scored 26 against them).

The Bills are a serious candidate in the AFC, and they are 6-0 ATS in their last six games against Denver.

The Broncos (5-8) come from a victory against the Carolina Panthers.Drew Lock threw for 285 yards and four touchdowns, one of his best games.

Denver really wants Lock to be their guy, but he needs to finish strong in order to be considered the starter for next season. They are still in the Wild-Card hunt, but their chances are minimal.

The Broncos are 5-2 SU in their last seven games played in December.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Buffalo Bills vs Denver Broncos matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.

  • San Francisco 49ers (-2½)

    VS

    Dallas Cowboys

    December 20, 1:00 pm ET

Originally this was Week 15 Sunday’s Night game, but the NFL flexed it to Sunday afternoon (they changed it for Cleveland Browns vs New York Giants).

The San Francisco 49ers (5-8) have fought bravely despite not having several starters available. Nick Mullens has been a reliable option under center and Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. have become a very good one-two punch from the backfield.

The Niners are 3-8 SU in their last 11 games against an opponent from the NFC East.

Andy Dalton led the Dallas Cowboys (4-9) to victory against the Cincinnati Bengals and believe it or not, they still have a chance to win the NFC East.

Amari Cooper has been sensational, and RB Tony Pollard outplayed Ezekiel Elliott the last couple of weeks.

The Cowboys are 1-5 ATS in their last six games at home. They lead the all-time series against San Francisco 18-17-1.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our San Francisco 49ers vs Dallas Cowboys matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.

  • Seattle Seahawks (-5)

    VS

    Washington Football Team

    December 20, 1:00 pm ET

The Seattle Seahawks (9-4) crushed the New York Jets 40-3 (Week 14) to remain in the race for the NFC West title (same record as the Los Angeles Rams).

Russell Wilson returned to MVP form by throwing for 206 yards and four touchdowns. D.K. Metcalf finished with 61 yards and one touchdown; he’s fighting with Travis Kelce for the receiving yards title (Kelce has 1250, Metcalf has 1180).

Offensively, the Seahawks can beat any team, but they have to be a lot better defensively speaking.

The Seahawks are 16-4 SU in their last 20 games against an opponent from the NFC East.

The Washington Football Team lead the NFC East with a 6-7 record. They have won four games in a row, including the Pittsburgh Steelers (unbeaten at the time).

Alex Smith (calf strain) is questionable, but Washington is optimistic that he’s going to be able to play. If not, HC Ron Rivera said that Dwayne Haskins will be ready.

The Washington Football Team are 7-3 ATS in their last ten games played in Week 15.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Seattle Seahawks vs Washington Football Team matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.

  • Chicago Bears

    VS

    Minnesota Vikings (-3)

    December 20, 1:00 pm ET

Last week, Mitch Trubisky played at an MVP level, but it was against the Houston Texans (now eliminated). Nevertheless, that victory gives the Chicago Bears (6-7) an opportunity to fight for a Wildcard spot.

The Bears defense is elite, and RB David Montgomery has been sensational from the backfield, which means they don’t depend on Trubisky to win, and that’s good.

Chicago are 1-4 ATS in their last five games an opponent from the NFC.

Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings (6-7) lost against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they are still in the Wildcard race.

Dalvin Cook is one of the best backs in the league, but Minnesota’s offense has been so much more than that. Cousins has Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson and Irv Smith, a very good receivers’ unit.

The Vikings are 4-1 SU in their last five games played in Week 15. They already beat the Bears 19-13 (Week 10) and they lead the all-time series 61-56-2.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.

  • New England Patriots (-2½)

    VS

    Miami Dolphins

    December 20, 1:00 pm ET

It’s hard to believe, but the Miami Dolphins (8-5) are finally truly favorites against the New England Patriots (6-7).

The Patriots come from a tough loss against the Los Angeles Rams, but they played on Thursday Night, which means they have had some extra time to prepare for this one.

Cam Newton remains as the starting QB, but his numbers are not elite at all (5 TD passes, 10 interceptions).

New England are 8-4 ATS in their last 12 games against Miami.

The Dolphins (8-5) fought bravely against the Kansas City Chiefs, but that wasn’t enough. Nevertheless, the Dolphins remain in the Playoffs picture.

Tua Tagovailoa has been a reliable option under center, while DeAndre Washington emerged as their starting RB due to Miles Gaskin injury.

The Dolphins are 1-5 SU in their last six games played in Week 15. The Patriots already beat the Dolphins 21-11 (Week 1), but Miami lead the all-time series 56-54-0.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our New England Patriots vs Miami Dolphins matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.

  • Jacksonville Jaguars

    VS

    Baltimore Ravens (-3½)

    December 20, 1:00pm ET

Gardner Minshew will be under center for the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-12), who haven’t won since Week 1.

That’s right, the Jaguars have lost 12 games in a row and they are already thinking about next season, but not all are bad news, as James Robinson became the fastest undrafted RB to reach 1000 yards in a season (13 games).

The Jaguars are 10-2-1 ATS in their last 13 games against an opponent from the AFC North.

The Baltimore Ravens (8-5) returned to the winning column thanks to an unbelievable performance from Lamar Jackson, who finished with 286 total yards and three touchdowns (124 yards and two touchdowns through the ground).

Mark Andrews is back, and he proved once again that he’s one of the best tight ends in the league, but the Ravens rushing attack is just too much with Jackson, J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards.

The Ravens are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games played in December.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Jacksonville Jaguars vs Baltimore Ravens matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    VS

    Atlanta Falcons (-13 ½)

    December 20, 4:05 pm ET

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-5) can’t win the NFC South, but they can be one of the best Wildcard teams.

They returned to the winning column after beating the Minnesota Vikings (Week 14). Brady threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns, while Ronald Jones ran for 80 yards and one touchdown; he has been sensational from the backfield.

The Buccaneers are 4-1 SU in their last five games on the road.

Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons (4-9) lost against the Los Angeles Chargers. Ryan threw for 224 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.

No more Matty Ice, and the Falcons running game is pretty much non-existent. Nevertheless, Calvin Ridley and Julio Jones have been sensational (when healthy) and they could pull off an upset any week.

The Falcons are 3-6 ATS in their last nine games played on a Sunday. Atlanta lead the all-time series against Tampa Bay 28-25-0.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Atlanta Falcons matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.

  • Detroit Lions

    VS

    Tennessee Titans (-10 ½)

    December 20, 4:25 pm ET

Despite having some new coaches, the Detroit Lions (5-8) lost against the Green Bay Packers once again. Maybe it is not such a good idea for QB Matthew Stafford to keep playing with a thumb injury.

Chase Daniel could replace Stafford starting next week. RB D’Andre Swift is back, which means the Lions could rely on him and veteran Adrian Peterson to carry the offensive load.

The Lions are 4-9 SU in their last 13 games on the road.

Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans (9-4) are leading the AFC South race. Henry has been sensational (215 rushing yards and two touchdowns against the Jaguars in Week 15).

Besides Henry, WR A.J. Brown has become a monster and Corey Davis has become his perfect sidekick.

The Titans are 4-1 ATS in their last five games played on a Sunday. They are tied with the Colts at the AFC South top spot, but they depend on themselves to win the division title.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Detroit Lions vs Tennessee Titans matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.

  • Houston Texans

    VS

    Indianapolis Colts (-7)

    December 20, 4:25 pm ET

The Houston Texans (4-9) are officially eliminated from the Playoffs.

DeShaun Watson really missed Will Fuller the last couple of weeks, and the backfield really missed David Johnson.

As they are already thinking about next season, you can expect some players to sit out in order to avoid some injuries from aggravating. The Texans are 3-15 SU in their last 18 games when playing on the road against the Colts.

The Indianapolis Colts (9-4) crushed the Las Vegas Raiders thanks to pretty good performances from Philip Rivers, Jonathan Taylor, T.Y. Hilton and the entire defense.

That’s right, the Colts are one of the most balanced teams in the league, and now that Rivers has developed a connection with Hilton, and Taylor has become their No. 1 RB, the Colts could be a really dangerous team.

The Colts are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games against a divisional rival. They already beat the Texans 26-20 (Week 13) and they lead the all-time series 29-9-0.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Houston Texans vs Indianapolis Colts matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.

  • Philadelphia Eagles

    VS

    (-6)

    December 20, 4:25 pm ET

It’s not a College game, but it looks like one with Jalen Hurts under center for the Philadelphia Eagles (4-8) and Kyler Murray under center for the Arizona Cardinals (7-6).

Hurts led the Eagles to the victory against the New Orleans Saints in his first professional career start. The rookie QB threw for 167 yards and one touchdown; he also ran for 106 yards.

RB Miles Sanders ran for 115 yards and two touchdowns. When healthy, he can be really hard to hit and tackle.

The Eagles are 1-5 ATS in their last six games on the road.

Kyler Murray and the Cardinals returned to the winning column after beating the New York Giants and they remain in the Wildcard hunt.

Murray finished with 291 total yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. The defense was great with eight sacks and three fumble recoveries.

The Cardinals are 5-1 SU in their last six games against an opponent from the NFC East.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Philadelphia Eagles vs Arizona Cardinals matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.

  • New York Jets (-7½)

    VS

    Los Angeles Rams

    December 20, 4:25 pm ET

The New York Jets (0-13) are in serious danger of finishing the season without a single victory. The last two teams to finish the season 0-16 were the Detroit Lions (2008) and the Cleveland Browns (2017).

Sam Darnold is not a bad QB, but he hasn’t been the answer the New York Jets were expecting. That’s why they are already thinking about next season, ideally with Trevor Lawrence under center.

The Jets are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games against an opponent from the NFC West.

Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams (9-4) are playing really well and they have become one of the NFC’s favorites.

RB Cam Akers has been sensational from the backfield, and just in time, because he takes some pressure off Jared Goff’s shoulders.

Tyler Higbee, Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods are a solid receivers’ unit, which means now the Rams can do some serious harm either way.

The Rams are 7-2 SU in their last nine games played in December.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our New York Jets vs Los Angeles Rams matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 15 Odds.
