NFL Week 17

Last week of the 2020 NFL regular season is here and seven playoff spots are still available (four AFC, three NFC). As usual, the NFL made some changes to the schedule and now the very last regular-season game will decide things in the NFC East.
The Kansas City Chiefs (AFC No. 1 seed) already clinched home-field advantage through the postseason, but the Green Bay Packers still need to win in order to do the same in the NFC.
We already have the NFL Week 17 odds fully loaded for all the betting enthusiasts out there. Be sure to check em and pick your sports betting favorites!

NFL Week 17 Matchups Overview

All 16 games will be divisional games. The Dallas Cowboys will visit the New York Giants. Both teams need to win and then wait for a Washington Football Team loss (against the Philadelphia Eagles) in order to win the NFC East title.

The Cleveland Browns will play host to the Pittsburgh Steelers in a must-win situation. The Indianapolis Colts (vs Jacksonville Jaguars) and Tennessee Titans (vs Houston Texans) are still fighting for the AFC South title, but the loser will need to wait for the Browns to lose.
The Seattle Seahawks already won the NFC West, but the Los Angeles Rams will face the Arizona Cardinals with a Wild-Card spot at stake.
We have you covered with the latest news, stats, info and NFL Week 17 odds for all matchups. NFL Games of the Week

The Dallas Cowboys already beat the New York Giants and Andy Dalton is playing really well. The Giants have lost three in a row, and Daniel Jones is not playing well.

The Pittsburgh Steelers already won the AFC North, but they could be the reason why the Cleveland Browns don’t make it into the postseason.

The Arizona Cardinals visit the Los Angeles Rams looking for revenge and a Playoff ticket.

Over the NFC East, the Philadelphia Eagles are already eliminated, but rookie QB Jalen Hurts wants to prove that he’s the answer and he’ll be facing rookie DE Chase Young and the Washington Football Team, who can earn the division title with a victory.

Without further ado, here are our BetUS Games of the Week for Week 17 of the 2020 NFL Season. All game preview odds are as of writing.

  • Dallas Cowboys (-3)

    VS

    New York Giants

    January 3, 1 p.m. ET

Andy Dalton is playing really well, so is rookie WR CeeDee Lamb, and the Dallas Cowboys still have a chance of winning the NFC East. Remember Ezekiel Elliott? Last week against the Eagles he ran for more than 100 yards for the second time, just in time for making a playoff push.

The defense has improved; forcing three turnovers against Philadelphia last week.
Dallas are 2-8 in their last 10 games on the road.

The New York Giants also still have a chance of winning the NFC East. Jones comes off a decent performance against the Baltimore Ravens (252 yards and one touchdown), but he needs to become a true leader.
They forgot about the running game against Baltimore (that’s one of the reasons they lost 27-13). Wayne Gallman, Dion Lewis and Alfred Morris should be more involved.

New York are 6-2 in their last eight games played in January.
The Cowboys beat the Giants 37-34 in Week 5. They lost QB Dak Prescott during that game.

  • Pittsburgh Steelers

    VS

    Cleveland Browns

    January 3, 1 p.m. ET

The Pittsburgh Steelers pulled a great comeback against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16 to return to the winning column and win the AFC North.

Ben Roethlisberger threw three touchdown passes to three different receivers, proving that the Steelers’ offense is one of the deepest in the league. He won’t play against Cleveland, however.

Lately, the defense has been on the downside, but they remain as one of the best in the league (allows just 19.2 points per game).

The Steelers are 9-1-1 SU in their last 11 games against the Cleveland Browns. Keep in mind that Mason Rudolph is going to be under center.

Somehow, the Browns managed to lose against the New York Jets, and now they are in a must win situation in order to grab a playoff spot. Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins and Donovan People-Jones didn’t play against the Jets due to the COVID-19 protocol, but they should be back.

The Browns are 05 ATS in their last five games against a divisional rival.

In Week 6, the Steelers beat the Browns 38-7. That day, they scored three rushing touchdowns.

  • Arizona Cardinals

    VS

    Los Angeles Rams

    January 3, 4:25p.m. ET

Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals lost against the San Francisco 49ers and now they are on the playoff bubble. They need to win against their NFC West rival and wait for the Chicago Bears to lose against Green Bay Packers.

Against the 49ers, Murray connected with eight different receivers, but he needs to be more efficient when in the red zone. RB Kenyan Drake has scored in five of their last six games.

The Cardinals are 1-4 ATS in their last five games played in January.

Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams lost their last two games (New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks), but they still depend on themselves in order to make it into the postseason.

Jared Goff needs is out with a broken thumb, so John Wolford makes his first career start. Both Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson are questionable.

The Rams are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games played on a Sunday.

Los Angeles already beat Arizona 38-28 (Week 13). Goff threw for 351 yards and one touchdown, while Cam Akers ran for 72 yards and one touchdown.

  • Washington Football Team

    VS

    Philadelphia Eagles

    January 3, 8:20 p.m. ET

No more Dwayne Haskins for the Washington Football Team. The team waived him on Monday, leaving them with Alex Smith and Taylor Heinicke as their options under center.

Smith has been out due to injury, but he could be back next Sunday. Heinicke replaced Haskins last week during the game against the Carolina Panthers and he threw for 137 yards and one touchdown.

The Washington Football Team are 4-1 ATS in their last five games on the road.

Jalen Hurts has been sensational for the Philadelphia Eagles, but they are already eliminated. Last week against Dallas, the rookie QB threw for a personal record 342 yards, but he also threw two interceptions and lost a fumble.

RB Miles Sanders scored three touchdowns in their last three games, and DeSean Jackson scored an 81-yard TD.

The Eagles are 1-5 SU in their last six games against an opponent from the NFC.

The Washington Football Team beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-17 (Week 1). Peyton Barber scored two rushing touchdowns.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Washington Football Team vs Philadelphia Eagles matchup page, as well as the latest team player news, stats, injury weather reports, and NFL Week 17 odds.

  • Atlanta Falcons

    VS

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    January 3, 1 p.m. ET

The Atlanta Falcons are already eliminated.

Last week, they fought bravely against the Kansas City Chiefs, but they lost 17-14. Both Matt Ryan (300 yards, two touchdowns) and Calvin Ridley (130 receiving yards) played well.

RB Todd Gurley has to be the biggest disappointment of the season. The Falcons are 3-6 ATS in their last nine games played in January.

Tom Brady helped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers clinch their first playoff appearance since the 2007 season, just like it was planned.

Last week against the Lions, Brady threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers, proving that the Bucs’ offense can be very good when fully healthy.

Rookie RB Ke’Shawn Vaughn is emerging as a reliable option in case Leonard Fournette or Ronald Jones are not available.

The Buccaneers are 7-3 SU in their last 10 games.

Tampa Bay beat Atlanta 31-27 a couple of weeks ago. Brady threw for 390 yards and two touchdowns, while Fournette scored two rushing touchdowns.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Atlanta Falcons vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers matchup page, as well as the latest team player news, stats, injury weather reports, and NFL Week 17 odds.

  • New York Jets

    VS

    New England Patriots

    January 3, 1 p.m. ET

Believe it or not, the New York Jets have won two games in a row against two winning teams (Los Angeles Rams and Cleveland Browns).

Sam Darnold has been playing better, and Jamison Crowder has been sensational as their No. 1 receiver. Also, the Jets’ defense is good against the run.

The Jets are 1-6 SU in their last six games on the road.

Cam Newton hasn’t been what Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots expected. Offensively, the New England Patriots are a disaster, and that’s why we could see Jarrett Stidham under center.

The Patriots are 3-6 ATS in their last nine games against an opponent from the AFC.

New England already beat the Jets 30-27 (Week 9). Newton scored two rushing touchdowns and Joe Flacco was the Jets’ starting QB (he threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns).

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our New York Jets vs New England Patriots matchup page, as well as the latest team player news, stats, injury weather reports, and NFL Week 17 odds.

  • Minnesota Vikings

    VS

    Detroit Lions

    January 3, 1 p.m. ET

    Both teams are eliminated.

The Minnesota Vikings have one of the most explosive offenses in the league thanks to Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen and rookie WR Justin Jefferson, but Kirk Cousins needs to be more consistent under center.

Adam Thielen has 14 touchdowns (career high) and many consider Justin Jefferson as the offensive rookie of the year.

The Vikings are 6-2 SU in their last eight games played in Week 17.

The Detroit Lions were embarrassed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Week 17) and Matthew Stafford (injured) was replaced by Chase Daniel; Jamal Agnew (special teams) scored the Lions only touchdown.

They really need RB D’Andre Swift to become a leader from the backfield, as it is unlikely for Stafford to play.

The Lions are 1-10 SU in their last 11 games at home. They already lost against the Vikings (Week 9) 34-20; Dalvin Cook dominated with 206 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Minnesota Vikings vs Detroit Lions matchup page, as well as the latest team player news, stats, injury weather reports, and NFL Week 17 odds.

  • Baltimore Ravens

    VS

    Cincinnati Bengals

    January 3, 1 p.m. ET

The Baltimore Ravens have won their last four games and now they are the No. 6 seed. They could move up to No. 5, but they need to win and wait for the Miami Dolphins to lose against the Buffalo Bills.
Lamar Jackson has been playing better, maybe because he has some real backup from the backfield with Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins.

Dez Bryant has scored in their last two games, giving them an extra weapon when in the red zone.

The Ravens are 11-2 SU in their last 13 games on the road.

Brandon Allen played well, and the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Houston Texans; that was their second straight victory.

RB Samaje Perine ran for 95 yards and two touchdowns. Maybe Perine is the answer, at least when Joe Mixon is not available, and that happens a lot.

The Bengals are 2-10-1 ATS in their last 13 games played in January.

Baltimore already beat Cincinnati 27-3 (Week 5). The Ravens’ defense crushed Joe Burrow and Jackson threw for 180 yards and two touchdowns.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Baltimore Ravens vs Cincinnati Bengals matchup page, as well as the latest team player news, stats, injury weather reports, and NFL Week 17 odds.

  • Miami Dolphins

    VS

    Buffalo Bills

    January 3, 1 p.m. ET

The Miami Dolphins still control their destiny thanks to “Fitzmagic.” They are the No. 5 seed in the AFC, and they could clinch that spot with a victory against the Buffalo Bills.

If the Dolphins lose, they could be out of the playoffs. HC Brian Flores said that Tua Tagovailoa will remain as the starter, but Ryan Fitzpatrick could play at any time.

The Dolphins are 5-1 SU in their last six games on the road.

There’s no doubt now that the Bills are the team to beat over in the AFC East. Josh Allen is not going to win the MVP award, but he definitely deserves to be in the conversation.

The Bills are 6-1 SU in their last seven games at home.

Buffalo beat Miami 31-28 (Week 2).Allen threw for 415 yards and four touchdowns.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Miami Dolphins vs Buffalo Bills matchup page, as well as the latest team player news, stats, injury weather reports, and NFL Week 17 odds.

  • Seattle Seahawks

    VS

    San Francisco 49ers

    January 3, 4:25 p.m. ET

The Seattle Seahawks already clinched the NFC West, but are fighting for a better position. Right now, they are the No. 3 seed (NFC), but could move up.

Last week, Russell Wilson led the way against the Rams with 225 passing yards and two total touchdowns. When healthy, Chris Carson has been good from the backfield.

The Seahawks are 15-4 ATS in their last 10 games against San Francisco.

Even though they are already eliminated, the 49ers beat the Arizona Cardinals.

QB C.J. Beathard is kind of auditioning in order to remain with the team next year. The Niners running game is really good and their defense has been playing a lot better lately.

The 49ers are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games at home.

Seattle beat San Francisco 37-27 (Week 9). Russell Wilson went off with 262 passing yards and four passing touchdowns; QB Nick Mullens led the 49ers’ offense with 238 yards and two touchdowns.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers matchup page, as well as the latest team player news, stats, injury weather reports, and NFL Week 17 odds.

  • Jacksonville Jaguars

    VS

    Indianapolis Colts

    January 3, 4:25 p.m. ET

The Jacksonville Jaguars have already clinched the No. 1 pick in the 2021 Draft.

Mike Glennon could be under center but next season that spot will likely belong to Trevor Lawrence.

The Jaguars are 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 games against Indianapolis.

Philip Rivers and the Indianapolis Colts have a lot at stake. They need to win in order to keep their playoff hopes alive. If they win and the Titans lose (against the Texans), the Colts would be division champions; if not, they would have to expect one of three teams (Ravens, Browns or Dolphins) to lose.

Lately, rookie RB Jonathan Taylor has been sensational.

The Colts are 6-1 SU in their last seven games when playing at home against Jacksonville.

Surprisingly enough, the Jaguars only victory of the season was against the Colts (27-20, Week 1). Back then, QB Gardner Minshew threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Jacksonville Jaguars vs Indianapolis Colts matchup page, as well as the latest team player news, stats, injury weather reports, and NFL Week 17 odds.

  • Tennessee Titans

    VS

    Houston Texans

    January 3, 4:25 p.m. ET

The Tennessee Titans need a win to claim the AFC South crown and clinch a playoff spot. Derrick Henry needs 223 rushing yards to finish the regular season with 2000.

Ryan Tannehill has been sensational alongside A.J. Brown, Corey Davis and Jonnu Smith.

The Titans are 6-3 ATS in their last nine games against a divisional rival.

DeShaun Watson and the Houston Texans are already eliminated, but J.J. Watt said that they’re going to give their best until the end.

The Texans just lost against the Cincinnati Bengals. Defensively they are a disaster, but offensively they have Watson, and RB David Johnson has been playing a lot better lately.

Houston are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games played in January.

The Titans beat the Texans 42-36 (Week 6) in overtime. Derrick Henry ran for 212 yards and two touchdowns.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Tennessee Titans vs Houston Texans matchup page, as well as the latest team player news, stats, injury weather reports, and NFL Week 17 odds.

  • Las Vegas Raiders

    VS

    Denver Broncos

    January 3, 4:25 p.m. ET

    Both teams are already eliminated.

Last week, the Las Vegas Raiders lost against the Miami Dolphins and now their only chance is to finish 8-8, not enough to grab a playoff spot.

Derek Carr has developed chemistry with WR Nelson Agholor and TE Darren Waller, while Josh Jacobs has been great from the backfield, but the defense is one of the worst in the league.

The Raiders are 4-1 SU in their last five games on the road.

Melvin Gordon has been carrying the load, but  all Broncos offensive weapons should shine against the Raiders’ defense.

The Broncos are 1-4 ATS in their last five games played in Week 17.

Back in Week 10, the Raiders crushed the Broncos 37-12. Both Josh Jacobs and Devontae Booker scored twice through the ground.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Las Vegas Raiders vs Denver Broncos matchup page, as well as the latest team player news, stats, injury weather reports, and NFL Week 17 odds.

  • Los Angeles Chargers

    VS

    Kansas City Chiefs

    January 3, 4:25 p.m. ET

The Los Angeles Chargers are already eliminated, and the Kansas City Chiefs already clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Nevertheless, Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes should be under center; in Mahomes’ case at least the first half.

The Chargers are 2-9 SU in their last 11 games against an opponent from the AFC West. The Kansas City Chiefs are 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games against an opponent from the AFC.

Travis Kelce (Chiefs) could end as the league leader in receiving yards (he has 1416, and Stefon Diggs has 1459). That would be the first time that a TE finishes at the top.

The Chargers almost beat the Kansas City Chiefs back in Week 2. Justin Herbert threw for 311 yards and scored two total touchdowns, but Patrick Mahomes threw for 302 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Chiefs to a 23-20 victory.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Los Angeles Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs matchup page, as well as the latest team player news, stats, injury weather reports, and NFL Week 17 odds.

  • Green Bay Packers

    VS

    Chicago Bears

    January 3, 4:25 p.m. ET

The Green Bay Packers need a victory here in order to finish as the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

Both Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams have been exceptional all season long, and now they have one more offensive weapon in RB AJ Dillon, who ran for 124 yards and two touchdowns against the Titans (Week 16).

The Packers are 15-5 ATS in their last 20 games against Chicago.

The Bears depend only on themselves in order to make it into the postseason. They just need to beat the Packers.

QB Mitch Trubisky has been playing really well lately, and RB David Montgomery has been carrying the load from the backfield. Last week, TE Jimmy Graham revived with a two-touchdown performance.

The Bears are 1-9 SU in their last 10 games when playing at home against the Packers.

Green Bay beat Chicago 41-25 (Week 12). Aaron Rodgers threw for 211 yards and four touchdowns.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears matchup page, as well as the latest team player news, stats, injury weather reports, and NFL Week 17 odds.

  • New Orleans Saints

    VS

    Carolina Panthers

    January 3, 4:25 p.m. ET

Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints could finish at the top of the NFC. They need to win against the Carolina Panthers and have the Packers to lose against the Chicago Bears.

Alvin Kamara comes from a huge performance against the Minnesota Vikings (Week 16). The RB scored six touchdowns; Drew Brees is still regaining rhythm and confidence.

The Saints are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games against a divisional rival.

The Carolina Panthers are already eliminated, but they just beat the Washington Football Team.

QB Teddy Bridgewater and RB Mike Davis keep carrying the load offensively. Christian McCaffrey is not going to be back until next year.

The Panthers are 2-9 SU in their last 11 games at home.

New Orleans already beat the Panthers 27-24 (Week 7). Drew Brees threw for 287 yards and two touchdowns, he also scored one touchdown through the ground.
