NFL Week 3

Injuries in these first two weeks of the NFL are becoming a serious concern for all teams. NFL Week 2 was fraught with all kinds of injuries that affected high profile names like Saquon Barkley, Nick Bosa, Davante Adams, Christian McCaffrey and many more.

No teams on bye yet, which means that all teams will have to do their best with the available personnel. We already have the NFL Week 3 Odds fully loaded for all the betting enthusiasts out there. Be sure to check em and pick your favorites!

NFL Week 3 Matchups Overview

Week 3 begins Thursday; Sep. 24 in Florida as the Jacksonville Jaguars play host to the Miami Dolphins. Both teams lost close games in Week 2, but the Dolphins are the ones in danger of falling 0-3 and since 1990 only three teams have made the playoffs after starting 0-3.

Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks are transitioning into the NFC favorites to win it all and they play host to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

Over in the AFC, the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs visit the unbeaten Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night. This one could end up being a preamble to the next AFC Championship Game.

We have you covered with the latest news, stats, info and NFL Week 3 Odds for all NFL matchups.

NFL Week 3 Games of the Week

Dak Prescott vs Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers vs Drew Brees, Patrick Mahomes vs Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry vs Dalvin Cook. Those are some of the most interesting duels scheduled for Week 3 (unless the injury bug has other plans).

Without further ado, here are our BetUS Games of the Week for Week 3 of the 2020 NFL Season. All game preview odds are as of writing.

Dallas Cowboys vs Seattle Seahawks (-5)

September 27, 4:25pm ET

The Dallas Cowboys victory in Week 2 could be classified as a miracle. They overcame a 20-point deficit despite giving away the ball three times. Dak Prescott became the first QB ever to throw for 450 yards while scoring three rushing touchdowns.

Russell Wilson has never gotten an MVP vote in his entire career but if he maintains the level that he has shown in the first two weeks (9 passing touchdowns, first in the NFL) that will change at the end of this season.

The Seattle Seahawks are 10-4 SU in their last 14 games at home, but the last time they met Dallas won 24-22.

Green Bay Packers vs New Orleans Saints (- 2 ½)

September 27, 8:20pm ET

The Green Bay Packers are 2-0 and averaging 42.5 points per game. In the first two weeks, Aaron Rodgers has thrown six total touchdown passes and no interceptions while Aaron Jones has run for 234 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints will be the Packers’ defense biggest challenge so far, but they just suffered a tough and unexpected loss against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Saints offense is not the same without WR Michael Thomas (questionable) and the defense is allowing 28.5 points per game. The Saints are 4-2 SU in their last 6 games against the Packers.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Baltimore Ravens (-3)

September 28, 8:15pm ET

As expected, both the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens reach Week 3 unbeaten. The Ravens have looked a little bit better than the Chiefs, but not just Lamar Jackson and the offense; the Ravens defense have forced a turnover in 15 consecutive games, the longest current active streak in the league.

Patrick Mahomes is still Patrick Mahomes, but other than TE Travis Kelce and WR Tyreek Hill the rest of the offense is inconsistent.

Last year the Chiefs won 33-28 at Arrowhead, but the Ravens are 7-1 SU in their last 8 games at home. Expect the same kind of fireworks. The total is set at 54.

The Rest of the Week 3 Schedule:

Miami Dolphins vs Jacksonville Jaguars (-3 Ev)

September 24, 8:20pm ET

Everybody thought the Jacksonville Jaguars would be an easy team to beat, but they are 1-1 after beating the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1 and losing to the Tennessee Titans only by a field goal in Week 2.

QB Gardner Minshew (6 total passing touchdowns, tied second in the NFL) is playing really well and RB James Robinson is averaging 82 yards per game.

The Miami Dolphins are 0-2 after losing to two AFC East rivals (New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills). QB Ryan Fitzpatrick played a lot better in Week 2, at least he suffered no interceptions, but the Dolphins are 2-14 SU (Straight Up) in their last 16 games on the road.

Houston Texans vs Pittsburgh Steelers (-3)

September 27, 1:00pm ET

Houston, the Texans have a problem. They are 0-2 and they looked really bad against the two best teams in the AFC.

Will Fuller is supposed to be their No. 1 receiver and he didn’t have a single catch in Week 2. They really need a win here.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 2-0 but arguably they beat very limited teams (NY Giants and Denver Broncos). The best news for them heading into Week 3 is that RB James Conner (121 total yards and 1 touchdown in Week 2) looks healthy and ready to keep rolling.

The Steelers are 4-1 in their last 5 games against the Texans.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Philadelphia Eagles (-7 Ev)

September 27, 1:00pm ET

The winless Cincinnati Bengals face the winless Philadelphia Eagles. Great opportunity for both.

Rookie QB Joe Burrow has played well but he needs more help from veteran players like RB Joe Mixon and WR AJ Green. TE C.J. Uzomah was playing really well but got injured in Week 2 and is out for the season.

The Philadelphia Eagles offensive line improved a lot from Week 1 to Week 2 (8 to 0 sacks allowed) but their defensive unit is a disaster (allowed 32 points per game).

The Eagles are 3-7 ATS (Against the Spread) in their last 10 games.

San Francisco 49ers (-4) vs New York Giants

September 27, 1:00pm ET

If you are wondering why the San Francisco 49ers are favorites by only 4 points, the answer is simple: injuries. The Niners lost Jimmy Garoppolo, Tevin Coleman, Raheem Mostert and Nick Bosa, plus two starting defensive ends during Week 2. All three defensive players are out for the rest of the season

The New York Giants (0-2) also suffered a lot due to injuries. Saquon Barkley and Sterling Shepard left the field during Week 2 and Barkley will be out for the rest of the season.

The Giants are 7-3 SU in their last 10 games against the 49ers.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our San Francisco 49ers vs New York Giants matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 3 Odds.

Las Vegas Raiders vs New England Patriots (-6)

September 27, 1:00pm ET

Very few expected the Las Vegas Raiders to be 2-0 but they are. The offense is looking good thanks to QB Derek Carr, RB Josh Jacobs and TE Darren Waller.

The Raiders are averaging 34 points per game (fourth in the NFL) and their defense is allowing 27 points per game. They are 0-5 SU in their last 5 games against the Patriots.

Is MVP Cam Newton back? No, at least not yet. He has been playing well but the offense still needs more time to fully adapt to Newton’s style.

The best news for the New England Patriots heading into Week 3 is that the connection between Newton and Julian Edelman, their No. 1 receiver, is starting to work. Edelman finished their Week 2 game against the Seahawks with 8 receptions and a career-high 179 yards.

Tennessee Titans (-2½) vs Minnesota Vikings

September 27, 1:00pm ET

As seems to happen with so many players, the only thing Ryan Tannehill needed to be a good QB in the NFL was to leave the Miami Dolphins. In the first two weeks he threw for 6 TD and 0 INT, and the Tennessee Titans lead the AFC South 2-0.

The Minnesota Vikings are dealing with a totally different situation. Kirk Cousins (11/26) threw three interceptions and zero touchdowns in Week 2 and their defense allows 35.5 points per game.

Nevertheless, the Vikings are 7-1 SU in their last 8 games when playing at home against the Titans.

Washington Football Team vs Cleveland Browns (-7)

September 27, 1:00pm ET

Dwayne Haskins is not the best second-year QB in the NFL, but he has played better than many thought he would, at least he has zero interceptions.

Led by rookie DE Chase Young, the Washington Football Team defense (+2 in the turnovers differential) is becoming a good one.

It seems the Cleveland Browns finally found a way to be competitive: give the ball to running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt (234 yards and 4 TD combined in Week 2). With Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry in good shape, this offensive unit can be a really good one.

The Browns are 5-1 SU in their last 6 games at home.

Los Angeles Rams vs Buffalo Bills (-2½)

September 27, 1:00pm ET

Both teams are 2-0 and playing well. The Los Angeles Rams found the perfect replacement for RB Todd Gurley in a tandem: Darrell Henderson and Malcolm Brown.

In Week 2, QB Jared Goff connected with six different receivers and TE Tyler Higbee is becoming a force to fear.

QB Josh Allen leads the NFL in passing yards (729) and is tied for second in touchdowns passes (6). He’s also a threat on the ground (75 YDS and 1 TD in two weeks).

The Buffalo Bills lead the AFC East 2-0 and are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games against an opponent from the NFC.

Chicago Bears vs Atlanta Falcons (-3)

September 27, 1:00pm ET

Yes, the Chicago Bears are 2-0 with Mitch Trubisky under center while the Atlanta Falcons are 0-2 with Matt Ryan under center and throwing to Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, one of the best WR duos in the NFL.

The Bears beat the Detroit Lions and New York Giants, two very limited teams, but Trubisky managed to throw 2+ touchdowns in each game. Led by Khalil Mack, the defensive unit is still very competent.

The Falcons lost to the Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys. Against the Cowboys, they blew off a 20-point lead but WR Calvin Ridley (109 YDS, 2 TD) was spectacular and RB Todd Gurley looked more adapted to the new system.

The Falcons are in a must-win situation but keep in mind that they are 2-6 SU in their last 8 games at home.

Carolina Panthers vs Los Angeles Chargers (-7)

September 27, 4:05pm ET

The Carolina Panthers are 0-2 and now Christian McCaffrey will be out for several weeks due to an ankle injury. In the first two weeks of the season, the Panthers scored five touchdowns, four of them were from McCaffrey.

Mike Davis (pro since 2015) is the first option to try and replace McCaffrey.

The Los Angeles Chargers lost QB Tyrod Taylor before the Week 2 game against the Kansas Chiefs even started, but rookie Justin Herbert (329 total yards and 2 total touchdowns) looked very good in his debut.

They lost in extra time, but the defense proved once again that they are one of the best units in the NFL. The Chargers are 8-3 SU in their last 11 games against an opponent from the NFC.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Carolina Panthers vs Los Angeles Chargers matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 3 Odds.

New York Jets vs Indianapolis Colts (-11)

September 20, 4:05pm ET

The New York Jets are 0-2. They haven’t scored more than 17 points. QB Sam Darnold (2 TD/1 INT) is not looking good and their backfield is led by veteran Frank Gore (Le’Veon Bell is out for several weeks due to injury).

The Indianapolis Colts have found a reliable RB in rookie Jonathan Taylor (101 yards, 1 TD in Week 2). That gives Philip Rivers more time to adapt because his Week 2 performance was far from what the Colts expected from him (214 YDS, 1 TD, 1 INT).

WR Parris Campbell is out due to a knee injury. They need the best version of veteran T.Y. Hilton more than ever.

The Colts are 12-3 SU in their last 15 games at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our New York Jets vs Indianapolis Colts matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 3 Odds.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-6) vs Denver Broncos

September 27, 4:25pm ET

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers got their first win of the season in Week 2 after beating the Carolina Panthers, but Brady looked kind of bad (217 YDS, 1 TD, 1 INT). The good news for the Bucs was that WR Mike Evans (104 YDS, 1 TD) returned to his best form and RB Leonard Fournette (103 YDS, 2 TD) proved that he can be the starter.

Brady has a losing record (8-9) against just one team in the NFL: Denver.

The Denver Broncos are 0-2 and now without LB Von Miller, RB Philip Lindsay, QB Drew Lock and WR Courtland Sutton, all injured. Jeff Driskel played well (256 YDS, 1 TD, 1 INT) but the Buccaneers defense is better than the Steelers defense.

The Broncos are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games at home.

Detroit Lions vs Arizona Cardinals (-6)

September 27, 4:25pm ET

The Detroit Lions recovered QB Matthew Stafford, but they are 0-2. They desperately need WR Kenny Golladay back and a bigger contribution from their backfield (mainly Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson).

The defense is allowing 34.5 points per game. It seems like HC Matt Patricia’s defensive mindset is not helping much.

The Arizona Cardinals are 2-0 and feeling really good. The connection between Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins is already working. Kyler Murray is feeling comfortable throwing or running (2 ground touchdowns in Week 2) and their defense is contributing a lot.

The Cardinals are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games when playing at home against the Lions.
