NFL Games of the Week

NFL Week 5 offers several divisional games including Las Vegas Raiders vs Kansas City Chiefs (AFC West) and New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys (NFC East).

For Sunday Night, the 1-3 Minnesota Vikings visit the undefeated Seattle Seahawks. Russell Wilson is on fire along with WR Tyler Lockett and RB Chris Carson.

Last but not least, the Los Angeles Chargers face the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night. The rookie Justin Herbert against veteran and elite colleague Drew Brees.

Without further ado, here are our BetUS Games of the Week for Week 5 of the 2020 NFL Season. All game preview odds are as of writing.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-6 Ev) vs Chicago Bears

October 8, 8:20pm ET

Tom Brady has thrown two pick-sixes in four games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1). Including his last two games with the Patriots, that gives Brady 4 in his last six games. Previous to those, he had thrown only four pick-sixes in his previous 101 games.

Nevertheless, Brady also threw five touchdown passes in Week 4, all to different receivers. The Buccaneers are 4-1 ATS (Against the Spread) in their last 5 games on the road.

The Chicago Bears (3-1) thought that Nick Foles was the answer, but he threw just one touchdown pass in Week 4 and Chicago lost for the first time this season.

Chicago are 4-1 SU (Straight Up) in their last 5 games.

Las Vegas Raiders vs Kansas City Chiefs (-13 Ev)

The Las Vegas Raiders (2-2) lost their first game at home in Week 4 against the Buffalo Bills, but the offense proved that they can compete against any team.

The connection between QB Derek Carr and TE Darren Waller is getting better and better and they will be facing a Kansas City Chiefs defense that has struggled against tight ends.

Las Vegas are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against Kansas City.

For the first time in NFL history, a team (the Chiefs) has started the season 4-0 four years in a row.

The Chiefs are simply too much. Against New England in Week 4 the offense struggled a little, but then the defense scored to seal the deal.

Kansas City is 10-0 SU in their last 10 games.

New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys (-9 ½)

October 11, 4:25pm ET

Despite adding veteran RB Devonta Freeman, the New York Giants couldn’t score a single touchdown in Week 4 and they are heading into Week 5 with a 0-4 record.

Daniel Jones has been a mess (2 touchdowns vs 5 interceptions) and the defensive unit has been no different.

Jason Garrett, the Giants Offensive Coordinator, will face his former team (9 seasons as head coach) for the first time.

Speaking of Jason Garrett with the Dallas Cowboys, in his 9 seasons the team never started 1-3, but they already have in Mike McCarthy’s first season on the sidelines.

Dak Prescott has thrown for 450+ yards in the previous three games, but the Cowboys defense has been a joke.

The Cowboys are 5-1 SU in their last 6 games when playing at home against the Giants.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 5 odds.

Minnesota Vikings vs Seattle Seahawks (-7)

October 11, 8:20pm ET

The Minnesota Vikings (1-3) won their first game of the season thanks to a great performance from Dalvin Cook (130 YDS, 2 TD) and Adam Thielem (114 YDS, 1 TD), but they are far from being a solid competitor.

Kirk Cousins is still an ambiguous quarterback and the defense is really vulnerable against both the passing and running game.

The Seattle Seahawks struggled against the Miami Dolphins, but they are heading into Week 5 unbeaten (4-0).

Russell Wilson is playing at an MVP level and  RB Chris Carson left the injuries behind to take care of the backfield (80 YDS, 2 TD).

The Seahawks are 11-4 in their last 15 games at home.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Minnesota Vikings vs Seattle Seahawks matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 5 odds.

Los Angeles Chargers vs New Orleans Saints (-7 ½)

October 12, 8:15pm ET

The Los Angeles Chargers (1-3) remain winless with rookie Justin Herbert under center, but his numbers are actually pretty good (290 YDS, 3 TD in Week 4).

One of the Chargers’ problems is the running game. Against the Buccaneers none of their running backs ran for more than 12 yards and that’s just ridiculous.

The Chargers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against the New Orleans Saints.

The Saints (2-2) managed to win in Week 4 despite not having Michael Thomas back. Drew Brees really misses him and the defense needs an overhaul.

Alvin Kamara and Latavius Murray are becoming a reliable one-two punch from the backfield.

The Saints are 14-5 SU in their last 19 games.

Los Angeles Rams (-9) vs Washington Football

October 11, 1:00pm ET

The Los Angeles Rams (3-1) offense is quite a mystery. They scored 32 points against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3 but just 17 points against the winless New York Giants in Week 4.

Nevertheless, the defense looked a lot better with five sacks and one interception.

The Rams are 8-2 SU in their last 10 games against an opponent from the NFC.

Washington Football Team (1-3) HC Ron Rivera is already thinking about a change under center. Dwayne Haskins has not been what he expected and Washington’s running game is far from solid.

The defense has been good, but not good enough. The Washington Football Team are 2-12 in their last 14 games at home.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Los Angeles Rams vs Washington Football Team matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 5 odds.

Buffalo Bills (-8 ½) vs Tennessee Titans

October 11, 1:00pm ET

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills (4-0) are on fire.

The young QB is second in passing yards with 1,326 and second in touchdown passes with 12.

The Bills are 8-3 SU in their last 11 games on the road.

After a forced bye week, the Tennessee Titans (3-0) are ready to roll. Derrick Henry is third in rushing yards with 319 and Ryan Tannehill is 6-1 in touchdown passes and interceptions.

The Titans are 11-4 in their last 15 games when playing against Buffalo at home.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Pittsburgh Steelers (-7 ½)

October 11, 1:00pm ET

The Philadelphia Eagles lead the NFC East with a 1-2-1 record.

Carson Wentz is not the same and their wide receivers unit is a hospital. Their defense looked a lot better in Week 4 against the San Francisco 49ers, but the Niners were without Jimmy Garoppolo, Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman.

The Eagles are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against Pittsburgh.

Speaking of the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-0), they come from a forced bye week.

Both Ben Roethlisberger and James Conner are piling up good numbers and the bye week allowed them to rest and ward off injuries.

The Steelers are 5-2 SU in their last 7 games against the Eagles at home.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Philadelphia Eagles vs Pittsburgh Steelers matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 5 odds.

Arizona Cardinals (-6 ½) vs New York Jets

October 11, 1:00pm ET

The Arizona Cardinals (2-2) were not expecting to lose against the Carolina Panthers, but now they have a great opportunity to bounce back against the winless New York Jets.

Kyler Murray remains as one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the league, but he needs to develop better chemistry with any other receiver not named DeAndre Hopkins.

The Cardinals are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games played in October.

Well, the Jets (0-4) are the Jets.

They are a disaster on both sides of the field and their running game is practically non-existent.

The Jets are 5-10 in their last 15 games at home.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Houston Texans (-6 ½)

October 11, 1:00pm ET

The Jacksonville Jaguars (1-3) won in Week 1 and then lost to the Titans, Dolphins and Bengals.

Gardner Minshew threw for 351 yards and 2 touchdowns in Week 4, but that wasn’t enough. The Jags defense has allowed 30+ points in all three losses.

The Jaguars are 1-5 in their last 6 games on the road.

The Houston Texans are 0-4 and they fired HC/GM Bill O’Brien.

Deshaun Watson and the offense played a lot better in Week 4 but not good enough to save him. RB David Johnson hasn’t been what they expected and they really miss DeAndre Hopkins.

The Texans are 5-1 SU in their last 6 games when playing at home against the Jaguars.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Baltimore Ravens (-14 Ev)

October 11, 1:00pm ET

Another divisional matchup (AFC North).

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals (1-2-1) won their first game of the season in Week 4 and once again Burrow threw for 300+ yards.

RB Joe Mixon exploded with 181 total yards and 3 total touchdowns. What still worries the Bengals is the poor performances of veteran A.J. Green.

The Bengals are 2-4 SU in their last 6 games against the Baltimore Ravens.

After losing to the Chiefs, the Ravens (3-1) bounced back with a 31-17 victory against Washington.

Lamar Jackson scored three total touchdowns and TE Mark Andrews (2 TD) continues to establish himself as one of the best TE’s in the league.

The Ravens are 7-2 SU in their last 9 games at home.

Carolina Panthers vs Atlanta Falcons (-3)

October 11, 1:00pm ET

With Teddy Bridgewater leading the way, the Carolina Panthers (2-2) have won two games in a row. Remember, without Christian McCaffrey.

Their defense has played very well and the momentum is on their side, nevertheless they are 0-5 SU in their last 5 games against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons are 0-4, but they could easily be 2-2.

Not all is bad news, tho. Julio Jones is back and Todd Gurley scored two touchdowns in Week 4, which means maybe he’s getting in shape to help more.

The Falcons are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games when playing the Panthers at home.

Get in-depth pre-game analysis at our Carolina Panthers vs Atlanta Falcons matchup page, as well as the latest team & player news, stats, injury & weather reports, and NFL Week 5 odds.

Miami Dolphins vs San Francisco 49ers (-9 ½)

October 11, 1:00pm ET

The Miami Dolphins (1-3) scared the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4, but they lost.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is holding on to the starting job and RB Myles Gaskin is becoming a force to recognize.

The Dolphins are 1-7-1 ATS in their last 9 games against the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers lost in Week 4 against the Eagles and now they are 2-2.

George Kittle is back and RB Raheem Mostert could be back in Week 5 to boost their offense.

The 49ers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games when playing as the favorites.

Indianapolis Colts (-2 ½) vs Cleveland Browns

 October 11, 4:25pm ET

The Indianapolis Colts (3-1) lost in Week 1 against the Jaguars, but have since won three in a row thanks to a great defense.

Philip Rivers is still adapting, but he has found a great target in TE Mo Alie-Cox while RB Jonathan Taylor is becoming their go to guy.

The Colts are 4-2 SU in their last 6 games.

Bad news for the Cleveland Browns (3-1) as RB Nick Chubb will be out for 4-6 six weeks due to injury.

Kareem Hunt will become their starting RB and D’Ernest Jonhson will be the backup. Odell Beckham Jr. will try to remain in beast mode (154 total yards and 3 total touchdowns in Week 4)

The Browns are 6-1 SU in their last 7 games at home.

Denver Broncos vs New England Patriots (-11)

 October 11, 4:25pm ET

The Denver Broncos are 1-3 thanks to their victory against the New York Jets in Week 4, but the team still needs some major improvements.

QB Brett Rypien will remain as the starter while Drew Lock recovers. TE Noah Fant is questionable.

The Broncos are 3-7 SU in their last 10 games against the New England Patriots.

The Patriots (2-2) battled against the Chiefs but at the end they lost thanks to a couple of errors from the offense.

Bryan Hoyer was named the starting QB for Week 4 due to Cam Newton’s absence, but now Jarrett Stidham could take the job for next Sunday.

The Patriots are 5-0 in their last 5 games when playing against Denver at home.
