This week was a funky mixup and rearrangement for the NFL Power Rankings Week 11 with the Las Vegas Raiders busting into the top 10 with no sleep, no money and wasted! Hold that a minute – I was thinking of a friend of mine that likes Vegas. Yeah, that’s the ticket. The Seahawks stay in the top 10 and New Yuck and New Yuck are hand in hand at the bottom of the bucket. If you are looking for some sportsbook odds that are paying out right and then some, check these Las Vegas boys to win in AFC Conference odds at BetUS.com.
Droppin’ Tha Ball
The NFL coaches don’t seem to care if a running back fumbles anymore. The Buccaneers Ronald Jones just lost a fumble two games ago, and on his first touch against Carolina fumbled it to the opponent again. Coach Bruce Arians put him right back in, and I guess it worked out since he ran for a 92-yard touchdown run. Kenyan Drake was injured in week 7 for the Cardinals and returned back allegedly healthy this week versus the Bills and got the start.
Drake also fumbled early against a tough Buffalo team that scored a touchdown off that possession. Coach Kingsbury put him back in right after that, and if it weren’t for that miracle Hail Murray from Kyler to DeAndre Hopkins, that TD from turnover would’ve been a loss for Arizona. And that totally hosed anybody in fantasy football that had Leonard Fournette and Chase Edmonds starting like me! The Cardinals are still an amazing value at 20/1 by Super Bowl Odds at BetUS.
The Good
Anytime there is a return for a touchdown on a kick or punt, I think that’s worth mentioning because they’ve taken that away from us with all these rules. I like things that are more “guidelines.” Keelan Cole’s return of a punt for 91 yards resulting in a touchdown gave the Jaguars a small shot to beat Green Bay, but they still lost. Patriots receiver Jakobi Meyers used to be a QB and threw a beautiful touchdown pass to Rex Burkhead on a gadget play for New England. The Pats still have a chance to win the AFC East and are worth a gander at BetUS.
Kyler Murray is having a helluva year even if he is being a total pig for goal line touchdowns like Cam Newton used to be. He is the first quarterback to have a rushing touchdown in five straight games, and the way he is leading this Cardinal team makes a decent sportsbook bet in NFL MVP odds.
The cornerback for the Patriots, J.C. Jackson pulled down his sixth pick of the NFL season and has five straight games with an interception and definitely worth mentioning, while Drew Brees now leads Tom Brady in the all-time career touchdown passes 565-564 in a back and forth weekly event.
The Ugly
For the most in the NFC LEast division, the Eagles Giants game proves that even at the bottom of the barrel there is parity. The Eagles lost to the number 31 team in our power rankings, and the Giants are also second worst in this division. Maybe the four teams in this division could take all the best players and form one NFC East super team. That would be about equal to make one average team. Just a thought…
The NFC LEast Division is now 10-26-1, and I did not think this would happen, but the Dallas Cowboys are in last place in the worst NFL Division. So that would make the Arizona Cardinals their extreme opposite. The Cards are in first place in the best NFL division, the NFC West.
OK, Let’s give Thanks to those giving a week early!
1. Kansas City Chiefs (8-1)
(Last Week-1)
How would you like to meet the Chiefs, with Andy Reid as coach and coming off of a bye week, in a hugely important NFL game? No Way! Raiders, buckle up, guard your grill! You got some killers coming into town, and this coach loves to eat…after a bye week.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Kansas City Chiefs -7 at Las Vegas Raiders, Over/Under Total 56½.
2. Pittsburgh Steelers (9-0)
(Last Week-2)
This is a team that looked like an undefeated team this week! They cranked it up and didn’t lay down and let the team they’ve dominated all game score some touchdowns at the end. Now THAT is a sign of a champion, because the NFL has way too many teams that think it is OK to rest on defense when you get up a couple TDs. NO, IT IS NOT!
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Pittsburgh Steelers -10 at Jacksonville Jaguars, Over/Under Total 47.
3. Baltimore Ravens (6-3)
(Last Week-3)
WOW, Baltimore, don’t take it so hard. Being upset by the Patriots isn’t as bad as people think, because it is still Bill Belichick. And it was raining cats and dogs on a Sunday night. Lamar Jackson will bounce back and the Ravens will dominate most opponents going forward.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Tennessee Titans at Baltimore Ravens, Over/Under Total NA.
4. Green Bay Packers (7-2)
(Last Week-4)
It was crappy weather, but if you lose it is still a loss Packer Attackers! You didn’t lose this time, but if you let a team like Jacksonville almost get it you better check yourself before you wreck yourself. A chickety check YOself before you wreck YOself!
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Green Bay Packers at Indianapolis Colts -2½, Over/Under Total 52.
5. New Orleans Saints (7-2)
(Last Week-5)
Go to the NFL Super Bowl Odds right now, and bet on the Saints. You will never get better sportsbook odds on them this year, so go to BetUS.com, load up your account and make your bet online bet on New Orleans. Don’t worry about Drew Brees because he’ll be fine in two or three weeks. In the meantime, Jameis Winston can get some reps in, get reprimanded for throwing too many haymakers (BetUS has boxing odds, too) and be more disciplined if he needs to be called on in the NFL playoffs.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints , Over/Under Total .
6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-3)
(Last Week-9)
Don’t make nice, little Tommy mad. You won’t like him when he is mad. Carolina only got displaced aggression, so just wait until he plays the New Orleans Saints in the NFL playoffs. Now that will be an epic game.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Los Angeles Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers -3½, Over/Under Total 48 on Monday Night Football.
7. Arizona Cardinals (6-3)
(Last Week-10)
Cardinals are now leading the toughest division in NFL football. Kyler Murray the first quarterback to have a rushing touchdown in five straight games. Cardinals show big balls. Even though it was a Hail Mary of sorts, DeAndre Hopkins came down with it. And Kyler Murray Murray threw it. Wow, the best trade ever for Cardinals and one of the worst for the Texans. Are they laughing all the way to the Super Bowl?
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks -3, Over/Under Total 58½.
8. Buffalo Bills (7-3)
(Last Week-6)
Oh well, what are ya gonna do? You should whip the three defenders’ butts who let Deandre Hopkins snag that Hail Murray! And take a nice week off wearing a mask, washing your hands and avoiding crowds.
Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Bye Week.
9. Seattle Seahawks (6-3)
(Last Week-7)
This is the seventh game in a row with at least three sacks on Russell Wilson, who has proven he’s a mortal. The last two games this quarterback has seven turnovers and you can’t win in the NFL with that kind of statistic. The thing is he’s such a winner that they still had a chance to win and beat the Rams with four turnovers. That is on the nearly impossible list. But they did lose.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks -3, Over/Under Total 58½.
10. Las Vegas Raiders (6-3)
(Last Week-11)
Raiders forced five turnovers against the Broncos and have held strong considering they live in Sin City. They are currently the sixth seed in the AFC Playoffs and worth taking a shot on with worthy online sportsbook odds for AFC Conference and Super Bowl betting.
Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Kansas City Chiefs -7 at Las Vegas Raiders, Over/Under Total 56½.
11. Indianapolis Colts (6-3)
(Last Week-12)
Of course they lost. They were going against Barry’s Big Bet of the week which is now 7-1 ATS. Barry knows football betting!
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Green Bay Packers at Indianapolis Colts -2½, Over/Under Total 52.
12. Los Angeles Rams (6-3)
(Last Week-13)
After a bye week, the Lambs should be rested after that beatdown by the Dolphins 28-17, even though they had advantages in yards 471 to 145 and in TOP 36:19 to 23:31.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Los Angeles Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers -3½, Over/Under Total 48 on Monday Night Football.
13. Tennessee Titans (6-3)
(Last Week-8)
OUCH! How did that horseshoe slap-fest feel? If you want to come back in the top 10 in these NFL Power Ranking, you are going to have to do much better. Now back to the second 20 for you!!
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Tennessee Titans at Baltimore Ravens, Over/Under Total NA.
14. New England Patriots (4-5)
(Last Week-18)
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: New England Patriots -2½ at Houston Texans, Over/Under Total 47½.
15. Miami Dolphins (6-3)
(Last Week-15)
I am not 100% correct 100% of the time, so it is possible I am discounting Miami Dolphins. I’m still not drinking all the Kool-Aid or lemonade or Gatorade or power raid or Africa either. Farm Aid. Live aid or whatever. Where was I going with us.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Miami Dolphins -3 (120) at Denver Broncos +3 (Ev), Over/Under Total 45½.
16. San Francisco 49ers (4-6)
(Last Week-14)
It was the Saints the 49ers got shelled by, and they are going to do it to everybody for the rest of the regular season a lot worse than this. San Fran, keep your head up and keep the Doctor close with all your injuries. You need a bye week. Hell, you need two.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Bye Week.
17. Los Angeles Chargers (2-7)
(Last Week-16)
Finally, they get a bye this week! The Chargers are almost double-digit favorites versus the Jets this weekend, and they only have two wins. I’ll have to let you know how long it has been since that happened.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: New York Jets at Los Angeles Charges -9, Over/Under Total 48.
18. Cleveland Browns (6-3)
(Last Week-20)
Nick Chubb returned, and rushed for over 100 yards as did his backfield buddy, Kareem Hunt. This powerhouse of offense and excitement was anything but exciting. The Browns did win and are trying to make my sub .500 NFL finish wrong, but they won’t. They won 10-7 in a snooze-fest with thunderstorms.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Philadelphia Eagles at Cleveland Browns, Over/Under Total .
19. Philadelphia Eagles (3-5-1)
(Last Week-17)
EMBARRASSING.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Philadelphia Eagles at Cleveland Browns, Over/Under Total 44.
20. Atlanta Falcons (3-6)
(Last Week-19)
Nice to have a bye week, but the Falcons are returning to a deep painful pit of loser when they play the Saints, whether it is Jameis Winston, Swiss Army Knife or a limping Drew Brees.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints NA, Over/Under Total NA.
21. Minnesota Vikings (4-5)
(Last Week-21)
The Vikings are on the upswing and looked balanced on Monday Night Football versus the Bears. The defense shut down the anemic Bears offense in search of a quarterback, play caller, head coach…to get this team moving. Mitch and Nick are not any kind of answers for their problems, and maybe they need to take a look at this Tyler Bray kid. It seems he has been borderline practice squad to third string quarterback, but something needs a spark there. They were held to under 200 yards offense. The defense gives them hope for a base, but the only offensive weapon that seems great is WR Allen Robinson II.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Dallas Cowboys at Minnesota Vikings , Over/Under Total NA.
22. Houston Texans (2-7)
(Last Week-23)
This game was a mess and played in FirstEnergy Stadium. Energy is the last thing this game had, but it did have a delayed start, a delayed finish and hopefully delayed enjoyment because their hasn’t been any to this point for anybody.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: New England Patriots -2½ at Houston Texans, Over/Under Total 47½.
23. Detroit Lions (4-5)
(Last Week-25)
I asked where the hell Matthew Stafford was last week, and he came back on fire to give the Lions a win over Washington…barely. This was another lame-ass defense that almost let a team come back late, and it was the Non-Football Team.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Detroit Lions at Carolina Panthers, Over/Under Total NA.
24. Chicago “Teddy” Bears (5-5)
(Last Week-24)
The Bears need an offense, and the offense needs a quarterback. If anybody says to put Mitch back in, I would recommend to look at Nick Foles performance and about 60% of that would be Mitch. They should try another guy or a rookie and take a chance and hopefully Foles is OK. They get a bye week which should help them figure some things out.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Minnesota Vikings -3 (Ev) at Chicago Bears, Over/Under Total 44½.
25. Carolina Panthers (3-7)
(Last Week-22)
The Panthers ran into the wrong guy on the wrong week after the worst loss of his career. Mad Tom Brady is not your friend, and he will show no mercy every time. Just be glad he didn’t score 60 points on you, but 46 is still ridiculous.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Detroit Lions at Carolina Panthers, Over/Under Total NA.
26. Cincinnati (Bangles) Bengals (2-6-1)
(Last Week-26)
OUCH! That hurts to do a concert in Pittsburgh, doesn’t it girls?! Joe Burrow had a tough one against a great defense, but this kid is damn good and they will get two or three more wins this year.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Cincinnati Bengals at Washington Football Team -1½, Over/Under Total 46½.
27. Dallas Cowboys (2-7)
(Last Week-27)
Last in worst NFL Division.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Dallas Cowboys at Minnesota Vikings , Over/Under Total NA.
28. Washington Football Team (2-7)
(Last Week-29)
You gotta give coach Ron Rivera and company props for fighting back for the second week in a row losing each game by a field goal. The Alex Smith story is touching and incredible, but it appears he does not belong starting as a QB in the NFL anymore. Both games were comebacks from a lot of points, so it is a lot of scrub time. Smith still shows a lot of talent and decision making abilities, but physically he appears kind of fragile.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Cincinnati Bengals at Washington Football Team -1½, Over/Under Total 46½.
29. Denver Broncos (3-6)
(Last Week-28)
The kings of scrub time yards and scoring couldn’t even get that going when they played in Las Vegas last week. All the Drew Lock praisers can finally STFU, because the late garbage time yards and stats can’t cover up the truth anymore. Drew has to be the easiest Lock to pick in the business and served up four more in this game.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Miami Dolphins -3 (-120) at Denver Broncos +3 (Ev), Over/Under Total 45½.
30. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-8)
(Last Week-30)
That is two weeks in a row almost winning and this time it was against the mighty Packers. They may have a big problem this week when undefeated Pittsburgh comes to town, because Jags won’t Steel any type of victory against them.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Pittsburgh Steelers -10 at Jacksonville Jaguars, Over/Under Total 47.
31. New York Giants (3-7)
(Last Week-31)
The Giants won another game and are trying to force me to ruin the nice look of the NFL Power Rankings Week 11. It is so terribly perfect with these two New York teams at the bottom.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Bye Week.
32. New York Jets (0-9)
(Last Week-32)
Gase’s New Yuck Jets just had their best week of the year by far on Bye, so it is back into the meat grinder for Adam’s Apple.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: New York Jets at Los Angeles Charges -9, Over/Under Total 48.
