Baltimore and Green Bay got bounced in overtime. Miami should’ve taken Herbert. Taysom proved the Naysomayers wrong. And the Patriots have the worst team since Bill Belichick’s first year coaching at New England. Those are just some of the seedy NFL Power Rankings Week 12 highlights.
This should paint a telling tale for you about the conferences’ strengths when making your NFL bets. The NFC Conference has four teams above .500 and the AFC Conference has nine teams with a winning record 11 weeks into the 2020 NFL season. The NFL Conference odds at BetUS have some lines worth taking some big cuts at long shots paying out fat stacks.
Here is a look at the latest Super Bowl Odds
Specials
The undefeated Steelers rightfully have their own Pittsburgh Steelers Specials page at BetUS.com providing that include if they go 19-0 through the Super Bowl and go 16-0 regular season which is currently 4/1.
Since Green Bay lost, Taysom Hill helped New Orleans climb to king of the hill status in NFC playoff seeding and Alex Smith finally got his first win since coming back from his wicked leg injury almost 2 years to the day. This miraculous comeback is impressive, but since his first win took down the Bangles he seems to Walk Like An Egyptian!
The dude drafted after Tua (Moons over Miami Duhphins) was the Chargers Justin Herbert who became the first rookie in history to throw at least two touchdown passes seven games in a row. And Chase Claypool is now the only wide receiver to have scored 10 touchdowns in his first 10 games of his NFL career. On the other end of a career, retirement age Frank Gore is now the first running back ever in the NFL to have at least 500 scrimmage yards in 16 seasons.
Dogs
The underdogs had an edge 7 to 5 covering betting spread with five of those teams winning straight up. The unders were also 7-5 in week 11 NFL betting which could be the start of trending to the unders. Remember with this cold weather and wind and snow comes Unders, so keep that in mind when making football bets now. You’re welcome.
You really need to check out the NFL division odds at BetUS because the NFC LEast division is still no great shakes at 12-27-1 with their fearless frontrunner Philly at +150. Philly was zero for nine on third down two weeks ago and two for 12 on third down this week. They are really representing as the leader of the NFC LEast. The Eagles should help the NFC LEast be an even lesser division with four of their games remaining against the Seahawks, Packers, Saints and the Cardinals. Good luck with that
Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Betting! Now let’s go find out who the turkeys are.
1. Kansas City Chiefs (9-1)
(Last Week-1)
Andy Reid keeps his coaching record after a bye week stellar, Patrick Mahomes (and MVP Odds favorite at BetUS) shows that 72 seconds is 28 more than he needed to win and the Chiefs Again prove they are the constant and consistent #1 ranked team in the NFL Power Rankings.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Kansas City Chiefs -3 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Over/Under Total 53.
2. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-0)
(Last Week-2)
Steelers lead the league in turnovers forced which isn’t surprising as an undefeated team. What is surprising is that Minkah Fitzgerald and Terrell Edmunds each had two interceptions against Jacksonville.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers -3½, Over/Under Total 45½ on Thanksgiving night.
3. New Orleans Saints (8-2)
(Last Week-5)
Saints won with their gadget guy Taysom Hill and have now won seven in a row on the way to the NFC top seeded team…which they are now. Taysom was actually a better downfield thrower and more accurate than Brees was, plus he has wheels baby. In this game a weird, weird, weird thing happened. Michael Thomas actually dropped a ball. Everybody knows it, and everybody remembers it because he never drops a catch. Thought it was worth bringing up…Carry on.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: New Orleans Saints -6 at Denver Broncos, Over/Under Total 45.
4. Buffalo Bills (7-3)
(Last Week-8)
Josh, John, Stefon, Zack – Strap up boys! Get the horses ready, because we gonna take out dem Charger boys this week!
Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Los Angeles Chargers at Buffalo Bills -5½, Over/Under Total 54.
5. Seattle Seahawks (7-3)
(Last Week-9)
Russell Wilson already has over 30 touchdown passes this year and puts him in the company of Brett Favre and Drew Brees as the only players to get 30 TD passes four seasons in a row.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Seattle Seahawks -5 at Philadelphia Eagles, Over/Under Total 51 on Monday Night Football.
6. Baltimore Ravens (6-4)
(Last Week-3)
The Ravens will finally have to stumble a few spots in these NFL Power Rankings after losing two games in a row by not using Lamar Jackson in the wild stallion role he is meant to be in. The taming is waning the chances of the Ravens to make it to the Super Bowl, and that is right, I still believe they have the team that can possibly make it.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers -3½, Over/Under Total 45½ on Thanksgiving night.
7. Green Bay Packers (7-3)
(Last Week-4)
The Packers’ Aaron Rodgers seems fine which is the only thing that matters with the MVS fumble. MVS probably has PMS from what I saw on CBS. Bottom line…No SOS!
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers -7½, Over/Under Total .
8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-4)
(Last Week-6)
I wouldn’t say that Tom Brady looked impressive, because he wasn’t. He didn’t look horrible like he is done, but he made mistakes that cost them a possible win against the Rams. Next week maybe…
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Kansas City Chiefs -3 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Over/Under Total 53.
9. Indianapolis Colts (7-3)
(Last Week-11)
Ol’ Man Rivers got ‘er done! It took overtime to win, which went past Philip’s bedtime, but Indy looked good in defeating the Packers 34-31. The Colts opened by online sportsbook odds as slight underdogs but the wise money closed the gap and then some with the Colts closing as one and a half point favorites.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts -3½, Over/Under Total 49.
10. Tennessee Titans (7-3)
(Last Week-13)
I asked for it and I got it! I said for them to get in the top 10 they had to do better, and beating the Ravens in overtime is definitely better.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts -3½, Over/Under Total 49.
11. Los Angeles Rams (6-3)
(Last Week-12)
While they seem to win the games that matter, I am still not seeing that fire or extra that beats the champions or has a chance to be a champion themselves. They are a team that does just good enough to be in the group and hang out with the cool people, but they will never get the lead cheerleader.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams -6½, Over/Under Total 46.
12. Arizona Cardinals (6-4)
(Last Week-7)
Over Under is 10 less than AZ last week
Cardinals. Are the absolute worst with penalties. They had 115 penalty yards in there last Thursday night at Seattle. Which is their most in any NFL game in five years. They came into the game with 11 more penalties than any other team this season with 79. I guess that’s a goal; not a good one.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Arizona Cardinals -2½ at New England Patriots, Over/Under Total 48.
13. Las Vegas Raiders (6-4)
(Last Week-10)
Almost!
Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Las Vegas Raiders -3 at Atlanta Falcons, Over/Under Tot
14. Cleveland Browns (7-3)
(Last Week-18)
The Browns are lucky to have Nick Chubbs back with Kareem Hunt now, because that may be the only thing that’s going to help Baker Mayfield until he figures something out besides how to sneak in and squat in football stadiums.
The Cleveland Brownies did win the game but games played in Cleveland have a stadium where the wind actually does affect it. And the unders hit and a 7 to 5 cover by NFL odds
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Cleveland Browns -7 at Jacksonville Jaguars, Over/Under Total 48½.
15. San Francisco 49ers (4-6)
(Last Week-16)
It almost seems like the 49ers are on bye week every week in this NFL season.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams -6½, Over/Under Total 46.
16. Los Angeles Chargers (3-7)
(Last Week-17)
The Chargers Justin Herbert is an excellent quarterback and the best one that came out of the draft even if I heard his people skills aren’t that great. Who cares about people when you have an NFL career and $100 Million…which he will. The Chargers also ended a three-game losing streak but almost let New Yuck Jets come back and beat them like they have a history of doing.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Los Angeles Chargers at Buffalo Bills -5½, Over/Under Total 54
17. New England Patriots (4-6)
(Last Week-14)
Since Bill Belichick has been head coach for New England, this 4-6 start is the worst team the Patriots have had since Belichick’s first season when they started 2-8.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Arizona Cardinals -2½ at New England Patriots, Over/Under Total 48.
18. Miami Dolphins (6-4)
(Last Week-15)
As soon as I give the Dolphins a little bit of buying into the over-hype and overblown rookie by making them my online sportsbook odds pick as Barry’s Big Bet, which brings my pick of the week to 7-3 on the year. The Broncos? We talkin’ about the Broncos, man! Not the Bills, not the Colts, not the Chiefs! We talkin’ ‘bout the Broncos man. Not the Saints, not the Pats, not the Bucs! We talkin’ bout the Broncos MAN!!…
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Miami Dolphins -7 (Ev) at New York Jets +7 (-120), Over/Under Total 45½.
19. Philadelphia Eagles (3-6-1)
(Last Week-19)
HashBrowns?!?
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Seattle Seahawks -5 at Philadelphia Eagles, Over/Under Total 51 on Monday Night Football.
20. Atlanta Falcons (3-7)
(Last Week-20)
The Saints doused the Falcons in Taysom Hill powder in dominating fashion, but you need to know about this defense too! New Orleans has only given up 25 points the last three games and this week picked off QB Matt Ryan twice and sacked him eight, yeah I said eight times.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Las Vegas Raiders -3 at Atlanta Falcons, Over/Under Total 56.
21. Houston Texans (3-7)
(Last Week-22)
Houston, we have a solution! Play bad teams like the Detroit Lions next week. They are on fire coming off scoring a total of 0 points.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Houston Texans -2½ at Detroit Lions, Over/Under Total 51.
22. Dallas Cowboys (3-7)
(Last Week-27)
Cowboys haters and I know there’s a bunch of you. Watch out Ezekiel Elliott just had over 100 yards rushing. For the first time this year…
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Washington Football Team at Dallas Cowboys-2½ , Over/Under Total 46 on Thanksgiving.
23. Chicago “Teddy” Bears (5-5)
(Last Week-24)
Uh Oh, Teddy Big Troubles for you! You have to travel your little stuffing filled butt to Green Bay and play a pissed off Aaron Rodgers coming off a loss. Best of Luck.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers -7½, Over/Under Total
24. Minnesota Vikings (4-6)
(Last Week-21)
Do not count the Vikings out of the NFL playoffs yet. They have a finishing schedule now that includes Carolina (this week), Jacksonville, Chicago and Detroit. The other two games are Tampa and New Orleans, but with Dalvin Cook emerging as one of the top 3 running backs in the NFL, it is possible.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Carolina Panthers at Minnesota Vikings-4½ , Over/Under Total 49.
25. Carolina Panthers (4-7)
(Last Week-25)
A shutout is always impressive Carolina! But it was against the Detroit Lambs so…
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Carolina Panthers at Minnesota Vikings-4½ , Over/Under Total 49.
26. Denver Broncos (4-6)
(Last Week-29)
Shocker. Do not expect this winning thing to continue.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: New Orleans Saints -6 at Denver Broncos, Over/Under Total 45.
27. Detroit Lions (4-6)
(Last Week-23)
A shutout? And I had to hear from the guy with the best team in our Fantasy Football League crying and whining about his kicker Matt Prater getting a goose egg for points. Just shut it! If you play a Detroit Lamb on your team, that is your own damn fault!
The Lambs never even got to the red zone and so unacceptable they don’t deserve words here. My time is money, and the only way I’m going to make any is betting against Detroit in the future. Their opponent Carolina only forced two punts in the last five games and both were by Duh Teddy Bears, but had no problem forcing the Lambs to do it constantly.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Houston Texans -2½ at Detroit Lions, Over/Under Total 51.
28. Washington Football Team (3-7)
(Last Week-28)
Thanksgiving tradition was always the Redskins vs the Cowboys when I was a kid, but I can’t say that anymore.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Washington Football Team at Dallas Cowboys-2½ , Over/Under Total 46 on Thanksgiving.
29. Cincinnati (Bangles) Bengals (2-7-1)
(Last Week-26)
OUCH! Down goes Burrow & your season with him.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: New York Giants -5 at Cincinnati Bengals, Over/Under Total 42½.
30. New York Giants (3-7)
(Last Week-31)
Bye Bye Week of fun. Hello Cincinnati and Three Rivers and a loss.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: New York Giants -5 at Cincinnati Bengals, Over/Under Total 42½.
31. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-8)
(Last Week-30)
Here’s an idea. Take your QB Luton, go sit on a futon and put on the NFL Red Zone to watch real NFL Football. It is hard to tell what Jacksonville is, but they sound like brauts as much as they get grilled on Sundays.
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Cleveland Browns -7 at Jacksonville Jaguars, Over/Under Total 48½.
32. New York Jets (0-10)
(Last Week-32)
Nice work New Yuck! Double Digits!! In LOSSES!!!
Next Opponent & NFL Betting Line: Miami Dolphins -7 (Ev) at New York Jets +7 (-120), Over/Under Total 45½.
