NFL betting is the most popular type of online sports betting, and the 2020 regular season is approaching its climax. There are only a few weeks left to make the most of our gambling opportunities, so let’s get to it . Our sportsbook’s most recent NFL odds show the Rams as 6½ -point home favorites on Sunday.
Los Angeles leads the NFC West, and can further distance itself from the pack with a home win here. San Francisco’s chances of reaching the postseason this year are slim, but the reigning NFC Champions are still technically alive. This NFC West contest is extremely important to both squads, and true colors will shine through.

The 49ers started out well against the Saints in Week 10, going up 10-0. However, New Orleans rallied to score 27 unanswered points, despite Drew Brees suffering injuries (ribs, lung) in the third quarter. The Niners made four turnovers with special teams performing disastrously on kick returns.
San Francisco won in time of possession and was 7-of-16 on third-down conversions. QB Nick Mullens completed 24-of-38 passes for 247 yards, tossing one TD and two interceptions. WR Brandon Aiyuk reeled in seven balls for 75 yards and a score.
The 49ers’ running game is dismal without Raheem Mostert or Tevin Coleman on the field. RB Jerick McKinnon was awful against the Saints, averaging just 1.3 YPC on 18 attempts. San Fran’s D performed fairly well, except for Alvin Kamara’s three TDs.

Next game: At Cardinals
The Rams dominated time of possession by more than six minutes, while only rushing for 37 total yards. QB Jared Goff was gunslinging, connecting on 39-of-51 throws for 376 yards and three touchdowns. Goff completed a pass to nine different L.A. receivers, including 23 completions to WRs Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods.
Kupp caught 11 passes for 145 yards, while Woods hauled in 12 balls for 130 yards and a score. Goff threw a couple of interceptions but generally picked apart the Tampa Bay defense. Ex-Buccaneer kicker Matt Gay, hit on two-out-of-three FG attempts, giving some stability to the kicking game.
The Rams’ second-ranked defense did its job well, bottling up RB Ronald Jones II for just 24 yards on 10 carries. L.A.’s rock solid D terrorized Tom Brady, pushing him to miss on almost half of his throws, forcing bad decisions. This was a great game from start to finish, and the Rams won it 27-24 on Gay’s 40-yard FG with 2:36 remaining.
Betting on the Game
Foff has thrown north of 300 yards three games in a row, and he should be able to tee off on the Niners. Kupp, Woods, and Josh Reynolds are killing it lately, a flashback to The Greatest Show On Turf. The Rams easily cover the 6½ -point spread in a revenge match against their division rivals.
The injury-riddled 49ers have gotten battered in three straight games, losing by a total score of 98-57. San Francisco has been slammed by injuries all season and is now fielding a ramshackle squad. Meanwhile, the Rams have reeled off two impressive victories in a row, against the Seahawks and Buccaneers. The -300 moneyline is reasonable, and betting $50 on the Rams SU can put an additional $16.67 in your pocket.
The under is .500 with the 49ers and is 7-3 in 2020 with the Rams. Despite the recent power surge in L.A.’s aerial attack, the scales are tipping to the under. The Rams’ defense is just too strong for the rabble that the Niners are throwing up against it. Los Angeles wins in a blowout, but the overall score stays relatively low.
Prediction: Rams 27, 49ers 10
