This week the Indianapolis Colts travel to play the Cleveland Browns with both teams starting with a record of 3-1 in the NFL regular season. In week five betting at BetUS.com, the Colts provide an excellent chance to put Cleveland back where there are used to being in Brownie land and are an easy NFL pick of the week for Barry’s Big Bet Prediction.
The Cleveland Browns depend heavily on the run game when playing opponents and lost their top runner Nick Chubb last week to an MCL sprain. Kareem Hunt should be able to handle most of the rushing duties, but Indianapolis has one of the top defenses in the NFL.
The Colts have Philip Rivers who is mainly being a game manager these days. This game against the Browns is one to expect Rivers to actually have a good game, and for receiver TY Hilton to finally get a breakout game. Browns receiver Odell Beckham finally had a great game last week with three touchdowns, but I would expect him to be his usual angry self here.
Barry’s Big Bet Pick of the Week
Well, this has been a great year for Pick of the Week with a 3-0 record so far this year. Difficulties last week prevented Barry’s Best Bet but will be consistent and available for the rest of the NFL Football season. This week has action with the Cleveland Browns hosting the Indianapolis Colts after both teams are 3-1 to start this NFL regular season. The Colts are the obvious NFL Pick of the week for Barry’s Best Bet week 5. The sportsbook odds only have the Colts as a one-point betting favorite which should be covered by a good touchdown or so.
Odell Beckham finally satisfied his me button by having a huge week last week with three touchdowns. That finally gave him a reason to smile here, but he only smiles when he gets his. This week will be a tough one, and OBJ is not expected to get his this week in what adds up to a bad matchup for him. Watch for OBJ to be kicking the bench, Gatorade jugs, helmets and anything else in his way, besides the Colts.
Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield has yet to have what would be considered a great game this season even with OBJ going off last week. This week will be tougher than any of his previous opponents as the Colts defense is the real deal. Baker is going to take some licks but won’t keep on ticking in this game This is going to be a great Week 5 betting choice for you.
The Browns depend heavily on a strong ground game with Chubb and Hunt thus far this year, but Chubb had an MCL sprain last week. That means it will be Hunt taking the major share of the rushing duties. He is an exciting runner and should have a decent game with so many touches expected.
The Browns offensive output should be able to put some dents in the Colts defense, but in the long run when they get behind, watch out. It’s the passing game that will prove to be their downfall, and if you like betting sportsbook prop bets this is a game that Mayfield should throw multiple interceptions. This does not figure to be an NFL game that sees much smiling on the Cleveland side of the ball, and anyone thinking about betting division odds on the Browns to win the AFC North or to win the AFC Conference should cancel that thought.
The Colts Philip Rivers has turned into basically a game manager this year instead of a game quarterback. The Cleveland Browns have been gouged by opposing quarterbacks in three of the four weeks they played. I would expect Ol’ Man Rivers to find the fountain of youth and look like middle-aged Philip Rivers in this one.
Indianapolis has stud Johnathan Taylor at running back and he should be able to do a decent job of running on the Browns.
This is a get right game for the number one receiver in Indy, TY Hilton, who has failed to end up with more than 75 yards in any game this year. Expect Hilton, along with Zac Pascal, to be able to put up some decent receiving numbers taking advantage of the Browns secondary. This will also result in more points than the Colts are used to scoring this year, which is what all of us sportsbook bettors love!
NFL Pick of the Week for Barry’s Big Bet
Expect the Browns to come back to earth after finally achieving an above-500-tards average two weeks in a row. They will still be above 500 yards next week, but after that they may back go back to the same all brownie Browns that are usually down and play like clowns.
Confidently get Barry’s Big Bet in your online sportsbook betting choices and fire on the Indianapolis Colts minus one at BetUS.com for your NFL pick of the week. You can thank me later if you want, but this is all about the passion.
