The Week 10 Pick of the Week is on the Seattle Seahawks-Los Angeles Rams game that appears to have the wrong team favored. The Rams have been favored by 1½ points this week and those sportsbook odds at BetUS have gone up to the Seahawks as 2½-point underdogs now.
The narrative everyone hears is how bad Seattle’s defense is, but what people need to look at is the offensive power with Russell Wilson at the helm. His main playmakers are DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, and Wilson does plenty himself to lead this crew of ballers. They will have no problem against Aaron Donald and friends scoring on a pace Jared Goff and the Rams cannot keep up with.
NFL Pick of the Week 10
Winner! Winner! Barry’s Big Bet should have paid for dinner… again last week. The NFL Pick of the Week was the Baltimore Ravens -1½ at the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9 putting our record year to date ATS at 7-1.
The Ravens came in down a few key players, but could not understand why the sports betting line was so low. Baltimore and Lamar Jackson dominated in the second half from the start by beginning with a 32 to 4 play count. Good luck after that.
My prediction score was Baltimore 30-20, and I underestimated the defense in a winning final of 24-10. Now let’s get a kick in with another big win in week 10, and I’ll try to do better on the score for you!
Overview & NFL Odds at BetUS.com
The Seattle Seahawks play the Los Angeles Rams as an underdog this week, so let’s take advantage of another odds mistake.
The Seahawks defense has been ravaged by opponents, but this does not take away from the superior offense and the ability of Wilson to win at any cost. On that note, the Seahawks Super Bowl Odds will never be at a bigger premium than now as will the NFC Conference Odds and odds to win the tough NFC West Division.
The Pick of the Week is obviously Seattle, but I am not discounting Goff’s consistency. He has been consistent in getting the ball accurately to his pass-catchers with some great weapons, but he is not that guy that can keep up with a speeding rocket ship.
Seattle Seahawks (6-2) at Los Angeles Rams (5-3) -2½
Over/Under Total 54½.
Seattle Seahawks
As soon as I saw that the Rams were favored over the Seahawks I had a few thoughts; What am I missing? Are the NFL Odds going to flip to the Seahawks being favored?
Let’s get to the point. The Seahawks’weapons are too much and they are going to give the Rams a spanking they’re not used to receiving. Los Angeles has not faced the extreme power that Wilson and his receiving weapons deliver.
The fact that fantasy football argues over which receiver between Lockett and Metcalf will have insane production numbers (sometimes they both do) is one of those rich guy problems. This is similar to, “Should I take the Ferrari or the Lamborghini to my kid’s parent-teacher conference?”
With Crazy Legs Wilson running around with two studs like that working together, good luck stopping that! The Rams have Jared, Robert, Josh, Aaron, Tyler and Gerald. If that doesn’t paint a picture…
Los Angeles Rams
As mentioned before Golf has been successful in completing passes and has a few weapons of his own. Both Robert Woods and Josh Reynolds should have pretty big days against the Seahawks, but they better be able to score 40 points if they want to win against this money-making machine.
While Goff has had success and spots of brilliance, he is not an elite quarterback. He has stats that appear to put him in that conversation, but that is so far from the truth. A good description would be average, which you will see in this game.
You can expect the Rams to score a lot of points in a shootout, but good luck to anyone trying to keep up with the Russell Wilson foundation there. The only ones that can do that are the Ravens, Bills, Chiefs, Packers, and possibly the Saints. Those happen to all be teams in my NFL Power Rankings top 10 in Week 10. They come out after Monday Night Football every week and come highly recommended.
Seattle’s Defense
You can’t help but read about how bad the Seahawks are on defense every week now. They are not good, but they are not as bad as the offense led by Russ is awesome. This is a strong Seattle team with great coaching and great players. The Seahawks play as a cohesive unit, and you can expect to see this demonstrated as an underdog against the Rams.
Bottom line
The Rams have stayed steady in the second 10 of our NFL power rankings each week, but they have not demonstrated the dominating status that comes with a team like the Seahawks. Seattle dropped to No. 7 after dropping two weeks in a row, but they will end up in the top five almost guaranteed.
The Rams have barely averaged over 20 points in their last five games before their bye and don’t have the firepower to hang with this monster offense. All Seattle has to do is protect the ball for the most part, and the Rams don’t have a chance.
The Pick
The Seahawks coming off a loss as an underdog to a division rival sounds like the perfect storm to smash those NFL odds and take home mean green … CASH
Prediction: Seattle Seahawks 34, Los Angeles Rams 24
