It’s doubtful that Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones, or anyone else within Dallas’s organization, envisioned a 2-4 record. Despite all the bad luck (Dak Prescott’s season-ending injury) and shoddy defense, the Cowboys sit atop the NFC East. Dallas (-120) has the best odds to win the division, but the title is truly up for grabs. Washington (+1000) is currently showing the worst NFC East crown odds, but that could all change after Sunday.
The most recent NFL odds on our sportsbook rate this NFC East skirmish as a pick’em affair. The Football Team has been kicked around since their Week 1 upset of the Eagles, having lost five straight. Dallas coming to town might be just what the doctor ordered.

Sometimes the stats make betting on the NFL extremely easy. The Cowboys enter this Week 7 matchup with a jaw-dropping point differential of -45, and winless ATS in 2020. Dallas QB Andy Dalton is a shadow of himself (and Prescott), and the O-line isn’t giving the ginger much protection. Even the typically dependable RB Ezekiel Elliott lost two fumbles during Monday’s annihilation at the hands of the Cardinals.
The Football Team’s D held the Giants to 108 passing yards in Week 6, playing well overall. Washington lost in MetLife Stadium by one point and will be certain to stick it to Dallas early. And the Cowboys’ defense?… Ooof. Dead last in points allowed, giving up an average of 36.3 PPG. Expect to see Washington QB Kyle Allen hooking up with WR Terry McLaurin all afternoon, for two or three TDs.
Pick: Football Team to win (pick’em)
Over/Under 46 points: Cowboys (4-2) | Football Team (3-3)
Elliott will have some success running against the Football Team’s ninth-worst rushing defense, and should score a touchdown or two but don’t expect too much production out of the quarterback position from Dallas. Allen will light it up for Washington. Allen hit a decent groove last week vs NY, completing 31-of-42 passes for 280 yards and two TDs.The Cowboys’ porous defense will be a treat for Allen, who should surpass 300 yards passing while tossing at least two or three touchdowns. Washington’s D will score, too.
Pick: Over 46 total points scored
Final Score: Football Team 34, Cowboys 17

Will There Be a Defensive or Special Teams TD?: Yes (+200)
Considering the inability of the Cowboys’ o-line to protect quarterbacks, it’s easy to imagine a defensive TD being scored. Washington’s defense can be tenacious, and with constant pressure on the offense it’s only a matter of time. Dalton fumbles a snap, Elliott bobbles a handoff, an errant across-the-body pass gets picked for six.
Over 5½ Total TDs In the Game (+120)
The expectation is for the scoring to go something like this. Allen to Terry McLaurin for a deep TD to begin the scoring. Dallas responds with a field goal. Allen to J.D. McKissic on a short screen pass, that he scrambles in for a touchdown. Elliott counterpunches for the Cowboys, banging in a goal-line carry following a pass interference penalty in the end zone. Washington kicks a long field goal, making it 17-10. Halftime.
Washington WR Dontrelle Inman snags a 20-yard TD pass from Allen on a perfect fade route. Three-and-out for Dallas, followed by a time-consuming drive by the Football Team, and a field goal. Washington LB Ryan Kerrigan blasts Dalton (clean hit), sending the redhead sprawling and the ball bouncing backward. DT Darren Payne scoops up the ball and runs it in for a score, surrounded by blockers. Another Football Team FG.
Dalton launches a desperation heave that is caught by WR Amari Cooper late in the fourth quarter. Washington runs out the clock, final score 34-17, the Football Team victorious.
