At this point in the season, online sports betting really starts to heat up along with the playoff races. Both of these AFC squads are in contention, although the Broncos are hanging on by a thread right now. This is what NFL betting is all about!!!
The Miami Dolphins (6-3) have won six of their last seven contests, and are riding a massive wave of momentum. Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos (3-6) are losers of three of their previous four, and are almost officially out of contention. Broncos’ head coach Vic Fangio’s actual head is on the chopping-block, and his team is desperate for a win here.
The Dolphins defeated the Chargers 29-21 in Week 10, and have become a serious threat to win the AFC East. Miami’s fifth-ranked defense should have a lot of fun with Denver, who leads the league in giveaways with 21. The Dolphins’ offense scores the ninth-most points in the NFL, and has been steady behind rookie QB Tua Tagovailoa.
The Broncos were pummeled 37-12 by the Raiders last week, turning over the ball five times in an embarrassing loss. Denver QB Drew Lock looked miserable, completing just 23-of-47 passes while throwing four interceptions. Lock is questionable to play. The Broncos’ defense allowed 203 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
The current NFL odds on our sportsbook show the Dolphins as 3½ -point road favorites over the Broncos. Let’s take a closer look at this Sunday afternoon matchup.

Moneyline: Dolphins -200 (6-3) | Broncos +170 (3-6)
The Dolphins are surging and rounding into form for the playoffs, while the Broncos are in an uncontrollable tailspin. It seems that Miami head coach Brian Flores has the AFC East right where he wants them. No one wants to play the Dolphins right now, and the Broncos have more questions than answers. Miami will handle their business in Denver.
Pick: Dolphins to win
Point Spread: Dolphins – 3½ (7-2) | Broncos +3½ (5-4)
Miami is 7-2 ATS this season, and 16-5 ATS in its previous 21 games. Coach Flores will have his soldiers fired up for this skirmish in Denver. Expect Miami to be tied with idle Buffalo at 7-3 with a win, although the Bills currently win the tie-breaker.
Pick: Dolphins -3½
Over/Under 45½ points: Dolphins (4-5) | Broncos (5-4)
The Broncos’ defense was demolished by the Raiders last week on all fronts, and the Dolphins will put up points. Serious points. Almost enough points to hit the over all on their own. Denver gets in on the action too, making the Fins / Broncos cup runneth over.
