The Atlanta Falcons will play their final game of the 2020 season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Florida on Sunday. The Buccaneers have already clinched an NFC Wild-Card spot, but the franchise still wants to win on Sunday to receive the best playoff seed possible.
The Buccaneers defeated the Falcons 31-27 on Dec. 20, rallying from a 24-7 third-quarter deficit. Atlanta shows some fight despite its poor record, which is definitely something to remember when you bet online on this contest.

Moneyline: Falcons +260 | Buccaneers -320
If the Buccaneers look ahead to the playoffs, the Falcons could steal a victory on Sunday. The Falcons have the ability to play the Buccaneers competitively.
The matchup to watch will be the Atlanta receiving corps versus the Tampa Bay secondary. The Buccaneers are ruthless in the front seven but young in the secondary. Tampa Bay continues its winning ways on Sunday.
Pick: Buccaneers to win
Point Spread: Buccaneers -7
Looking at the NFL odds, Tampa Bay is 8-7 ATS this season. The Buccaneers didn’t cover against Atlanta two weeks ago, but they’re coming off a dominating victory over the Lions. As favorites, the team is 6-6 ATS, and at home, the Bucs are 4-3 ATS. Tom Brady threw four touchdowns to four different receivers last week against the Lions. The former NFL MVP has found his stride as of late.
Pick: Buccaneers to cover
Over/Under: 50½ points
These teams combined for 58 points in their first meeting. I think the total will be slightly lower than this number, but this game will still go over. The Buccaneers are 8-7 against the over in 2020.
Tampa Bay will have to lead the scoring charge. However, the Falcons will still contribute some points to the total. The Buccaneers will play better in the secondary in this rematch, but mistakes are still bound to happen.
Pick: Over 50½
Final score: Buccaneers 34, Falcons 21
Props Talk for Falcons vs. Buccaneers
This should be a game where the Buccaneers continue to lean on Brady for offensive production. The Buccaneers have been inconsistent but the team is 10-5. Brady is still playing at an elite level, and he’s rolling at the best possible time during the year. The 43-year-old is fourth in the NFL in touchdowns with 36 and hasn’t thrown a pick in his past three games.
The Falcons have had a disappointing season. The team is on a four-game losing streak. For the Falcons to have a chance, they’ll need to try to pick on the Buccaneers’ secondary. Matt Ryan’s efficiency has been a concern, but he’ll need to take a lot of shots down the field in order to be competitive. Ryan threw the ball 49 times two weeks ago against the Buccaneers.
Let’s take a look at some NFL betting props for the game.
Double Result: Buccaneers/Buccaneers -130
Tampa Bay started lethargically against the Falcons two weeks ago. I don’t think this game will follow the same trajectory. I think the Tampa Bay secondary will play the Falcons tough. Brady will continue his efficiency, propelling the Buccaneers to a strong start.
Race To 10 Points: Tampa Bay
The Buccaneers’ offense was outstanding last Saturday against the Lions. Without Brady under center, this unit still dominated. The Falcons have the second-worst pass defense in the league. The Buccaneers will put this game on Brady’s back, which should allow them to score early and often.
Highest Scoring Half: Second Half
I believe the second half will be the higher total of the two. The Buccaneers will score in the first half, but I think the Tampa Bay secondary plays the Falcons’ offense tough. I don’t think the Buccaneers’ back end will start making mistakes until the second half thanks to the adjustments that take place at halftime inside the Atlanta locker room. When making your NFL picks, bet on the second half to be the higher scoring half in this one.
