The 1-5 Minnesota Vikings travel to Lambeau Field for a divisional matchup with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Green Bay bounced back last week with a win over the Texans after suffering their first loss the week before. They’re sitting at the top of the NFC North with their sights set on the playoffs.
The Vikings, on the other hand, are already looking ahead to next season. They would like to avenge a 43-34 loss to the Packers in the season opener. Let’s take a look at the NFL betting for this NFC North showdown.

NFL Betting Lines
|Team||Point Spread||Moneyline||Over/Under||Team Total|
Moneyline: Vikings +250 | Packers -300
This will be the second meeting between these teams. The Packers won the first contest in Week 1.
Since then, these teams have gone in opposite directions. Aaron Rodgers has been playing some of the best football fans have seen in years.
Minnesota has the fourth-worst passing defense in the league. For this reason, I think Green Bay will be more dominant than it was in Week 1 against the Vikings.
Pick: Packers to win
Point Spread: Packers -7
Green Bay has covered a seven-point spread in every win. With Minnesota looking ahead to 2021, I don’t think this will be any different. Green Bay is 5-1 ATS and undefeated at home. Those numbers are hard to bet against when making your NFL picks.
Pick: Packers to cover
Over/Under: 52½ Points
This is a fairly big number, but it doesn’t scare me. The Packers have a juggernaut offense that has only been tamed once by the Buccaneers. They’re averaging just under 33 points per game.
The Vikings also have the ability to score even though this hasn’t been evident in the standings. Minnesota has gone over in four of their six contests this season.
Pick: Over 52½
Final Score: Packers 34, Vikings 24
Props talk for Vikings at Packers
This should be a game where the Packers try to throw the ball all over the field. Rodgers looks like he’s still in the prime of his career, throwing for 17 touchdowns and only two interceptions. When doing your NFL betting, expect some points to be scored in this one.
Total TDs In Game: Over 6 1/2 TDs Even
The Packers’ offense has been humming for all but one game, and they scored 43 on the Vikings in the season opener. We expect Green Bay to find the end zone at least four times, which means Minnesota only needs to get in three times. The Vikings should be able to find some openings in the Packers’ defense, just not enough to get a win.
Highest Scoring Quarter: 1st Quarter +450
Green Bay scores early and often. It is notorious for scoring on the first drive of the game and is fourth in the league in Drive Success Rate. Minnesota has nothing to lose, so expect it to take some early shots to try to steal some points. The combination of these two things makes me think we’ll see a lot of early points put up on the scoreboard.
Double Result: Packers/Packers -130
In Green Bay’s five victories, it has led at the half in four of the contests. Green Bay knows the formula of consistent winning: Score early and often, and don’t give opponents any life. This is why the Packers will go into halftime with the lead and finish it with a win in the second half.
