The 1-7 Jaguars head to Lambeau to take on the 6-2 Green Bay Packers for a great betting matchup Sunday.
The Packers are coming off a Thursday Night 34-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers, getting back in the win column after a loss to the Vikings.
The Jaguars are losers of seven straight, their most recent loss at the hands of the Texans, 27-25.
Jacksonville has turned to quarterback Jake Luton in relief of the injured Gardner Minshew. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers hasn’t lost a step, throwing for 2,253 yards, 24 touchdowns, and two interceptionsr.
Playing host in this NFL matchup, the Packers have opened as 13.5-point favorites.

Jaguars | +13½ | +650 | 50 | 17½ |

Moneyline:
Jacksonville Jaguars +650 (1-7) | Green Bay Packers -900 (6-2)
The Jaguars are as ice-cold as any team, losers of seven straight. Their porous defense, coupled with inexperience at quarterback, doesn’t give them much of a chance going against the Packers, an NFL team near the top of the NFC.
Rookie Jake Luton was given the start last week and had a fine output going against a weak Texans defense. He finished 26-of -8 passing for 304 yards, a touchdown, and a 13-yard touchdown on the ground. Still, Luton is making just his second appearance in the NFL going against a rested Packers defense.
Pick: Packers to win
Point Spread:
Jacksonville Jaguars Jaguars +13½ (1-7) | Green Bay Packers -13½ (6-2)
Jacksonville has the worst pass defense in the NFL, according to Football Outsiders Defensive Efficiency ratings. Rodgers should have a field day, especially with Davante Adams having a strong season. In six games, Adams has 53 receptions for 675 yards and eight touchdowns. Jacksonville is 3-5 against the spread while Green Bay is 6-2.
Pick: Packers to cover
Over/Under 50 points:
Jacksonville Jaguars (1-7) | Green Bay Packers(6-2)
The Packers should be able to score through the air at ease, but Jacksonville has a chance to score as well. Green Bay’s run defense is not strong, aligning nicely with the success of Jacksonville running back James Robinson (580 yards, five touchdowns).
The Packers watched running back Dalvin Cook go for over 200 total yards and four touchdowns against them two weeks ago. While Robinson isn’t in the same echelon as Cook, his game is molded in the same style and should have success.
Pick: Over 50 points
Final Score: GB 38, JAX 21
Jacksonville Jaguars at Green Bay Packers Props Predictions
This should be a high-scoring game with defensive liabilities for each unit. Despite their losses, the Jacksonville offense has started scoring the last few weeks, averaging 27 points the last two weeks.
Green Bay has been strong offensively and one shouldn’t expect that to slow down against this Jacksonville team.
1st Half Total TDs Scored Over 3½ (+135)
Given the expected high-scoring nature of this game, I like both teams to come out of the gates rolling en route to a high first half outage.
Total TDs in the Game Over 5½ (-145)
These NFL odds seem low for an over set at 50 points, and while the value isn’t great, it’s worth taking the touchdowns in this game.
Team to Score Longest TD: Packers (-215)
Rodgers has put up massive numbers through eight games this year. All four of his top targets have caught a pass over 42 yards. This secondary is going to struggle to stop the Packers all day.
