Moneyline: Los Angeles Rams +175 (7-2) | Tampa Bay Buccaneers -210 (6-3)
Los Angeles looked fantastic in its 23-16 Week 10 win over the aforementioned Seahawks last weekend as the defense starred by sacking Russell Wilson six times and picking off the Super Bowl-winning quarterback twice.
Leonard Floyd racked up a pair of sacks and Darious Williams picked off Wilson twice. Offensively, Jared Goff passed for 302 yards but failed to throw a touchdown pass. Running back Malcolm Brown had a modest 33 rushing yards on six carries but managed to score a pair of rushing touchdowns.
Tampa Bay dominated Carolina en route to a 46-23 win on Sunday as Tom Brady passed for 341 yards with three TD passes and no interceptions while Ronald Jones rushed for a stupendous 192 yards and one score.
The Bucs might be playing at home, but I’m expecting Aaron Donald to get all up in Brady’s face to harass the future Hall of Famer into at least one turnover. Maybe it’s me but I smell an upset brewing.
Pick: Rams to Win
Check out Barry Barger’s Week 11 NFL Power Rankings!
Point Spread: Los Angeles Rams +4 (5-4) | Tampa Bay Buccaneers -4 (5-5)
The Rams have gone 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a road underdog, an identical 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, and 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games against their NFC counterparts.
On the flip side of the coin, the Buccaneers have gone 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a winning record, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight-up win, and 2-8-2 ATS in their last 12 home games. Since I’ve got the Rams winning outright, LA is also the pick to get the ATS cover on Monday night!
Pick: Los Angeles to Cover
Over/Under 48 points: Los Angeles Rams (2-7) | Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-4)
The Rams are ranked second in points allowed (18.7 ppg) while the Bucs are ranked eighth in points allowed (22.6 ppg). While Tampa Bay does rank an encouraging sixth in scoring (29.6 ppg), Los Angeles is ranked a far more modest 19th in scoring (24.0 ppg).
The Rams are one of the hottest ATS teams in the league right now, having played under the total in six straight games. The Over is 6-1 in Tampa Bay’s last 7 games as a home favorite, but the Under is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings between these two when they meet in Tampa Bay.
Again…Tom Brady…meet Aaron Donald!
Final Score: Rams 23 Buccaneers 20
Los Angeles Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Props Predictions
Points will be at a minimum in this Week 11 showdown as both teams’ defenses get after it!
Will There Be A Defensive or Special Teams TD
Prediction: I’m thinking Jalen Ramsey or Antoine Winfield Jr. records a pick six!
Total TDs in the Game Over/Under 4½
Over 5½ TDs -120
Under 5½ TDs -110
Prediction: The Rams find the end zone three times while the Bucs score twice! Five touchdowns sounds about right to me.
A Team to Score Three Unanswered Times
Prediction: Both teams have solid defenses and quarterbacks that don’t consistently turn the ball over. I don’t see it happening.
Longest TD in the Game
Over 41½ Yards -115
Under 41½ Yards -115
Prediction: I’m thinking this game will be a classic, knock-down, drag-out affair – until either Brady or Jared Goff throws a pick-six! I like the Over on Monday night!
