Seattle beat Frisco 37-27 in Week 8 to cash in as a 1-pint home favorite. The Seahawks and Niners have split the last four meetings evenly, but Seattle has won eight of the last 10 meetings overall.
More importantly, Seattle can still claim the top seed in the NFC playoffs with a win and a loss by Green Bay, plus a loss or tie by New Orleans.
“We’re going for it, and we would love to have that break (the bye in the wild-card round) for players if we can get it,” Carroll said.
