And just when you think it is over, the NFL presents more opportunities to get involved at BetUS.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the reigning Super Bowl champions. Tom Brady has seven rings and hopefully, the players — not on the field — scored during the NFL season on the multitude of wagering options BetUS offers on what has become the national pastime.
For those of you who think Brady & Co. are poised to repeat, the futures odds check-in at a sweet +900. That’s right, the Super Bowl LV champions aren’t the proverbial chalk when it comes to Super Bowl 56.
Chiefs Are the Chalk
Who is, then?
That honor — before free agency and the NFL Draft — goes to the dethroned Kansas City Chiefs. Before anyone decides to kick Tampa Bay sand in the face of Patrick Mahomes and his teammates, remember the incredible quarterback brings a three-year run into 2021 with a starting mark of 38-8.
And the lone player who has solved Mahomes in the postseason is, of course, Tom Brady.
The Chiefs are the futures favorite at +500. There’s a price to chew on and bet on since it doesn’t feel like Mahomes is a long shot to get into the Super Bowl for a third straight season.
Other Top Choices
Aaron Rodgers — assuming he doesn’t move — and the Green Bay Packers are co-second choices with the Buccaneers at +900. Following those teams are one on the rise, the Buffalo Bills, who check in at +1100. Another AFC team, the Baltimore Ravens with Lamar Jackson are listed at +1200 along with the Los Angeles Rams. The Matthew Stafford love is strong from the West Coast.
If you are looking for a couple of tempting dark-horses — who could call Pete Caroll and Russell Wilson that? — how about the Seattle Seahawks at +2000 and the improving Cleveland Browns, who are at the same number.
The Longest of Long Shots
Urban Meyer may be the new boss in Jacksonville. That isn’t impressing anyone when it comes to a chance of the one-win Jaguars rebounding to a Super Bowl victory. Jacksonville is listed at +6600. Not the longest odds, however. Those go to the Detroit Lions and Houston Texans at +12000. Neither franchise has played in a Super Bowl and it doesn’t seem likely they will after the 2021 regular season.
The odds are posted and there is no time like the present to feed the NFL hangover from the season being over. The action never stops at BetUs sportsbook.
