Bears at Vikings
Sunday, Dec. 20 at 1:00 p.m. ET on FOX
Underdog Betting Vitals
Moneyline: Bears +135
Point Spread: Bears +3 (-115)
The Bears and Vikings are each 6-7 heading into this matchup, and are fighting each other for their playoff lives. With only three games left in the regular season, either of these teams is capable of leap-frogging the Cardinals to earn the final Wild-Card spot. It all starts in Minnesota, and the Vikings are currently favored by three points at home. The Bears have a lot to prove in this pivotal matchup with their division rivals.
There are several issues for the Vikes here. Minnesota’s D is the walking wounded. And now the core of its defense, LB Eric Kendricks, may be out again. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears are averaging 30 points per game since Mitchell Trubisky took back the starting QB duties from Nick Foles.
The Bears smashed the Texans last week, 36-7, behind Trubisky’s arm and stout defensive play. Minnesota should put up quite a struggle, and this promises to be an entertaining game. However, the Bears will ultimately put the Vikings in a sleeper hold, rocking them out of the playoff picture.
Bears 33, Vikings 31
49ers at Cowboys
Sunday, Dec. 20 at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS
Underdog Betting Vitals
Moneyline: Cowboys +140
Point Spread: Cowboys +3 (-105)
It’s been a disappointing season for both the San Francisco 49ers (5-8) and the Dallas Cowboys (4-9). Both teams are technically still alive in the NFC playoff race, although Dallas has a better shot due to the overall weakness of the NFC East. The Cowboys are three-point home dogs, despite dominating the Bengals 30-7 in Week 14.
Dallas is making a push and must win this game to remain in contention. The 49ers have eight players on the injury report, and are limping into this contest fresh off a 23-15 defeat to the WFT. San Francisco has lost five of its previous six games, and is having a miserable Super Bowl hangover in 2020.
The Cowboys’ defense forced three fumbles last week, and should continue to have success against the short-staffed Niners. Dallas should win outright, so bet the +3 spread and the money line here.
Cowboys 27, 49ers 24
Eagles at Cardinals
Sunday, Dec. 20 at 4:05 p.m. ET on FOX
Underdog Betting Vitals
Moneyline: Eagles +235
Point Spread: Eagles +6 ½ (-110)
The Philadelphia Eagles (4-8-1) and Arizona Cardinals (7-6) are scraping and clawing for a playoff spot. Philadelphia stunned New Orleans 24-21 last week behind rookie QB Jalen Hurts and the productive running of Miles Sanders. Hurts’ passing stats were moderate, but the Eagles churned out 246 rushing yards en route to the home upset.
The Saints own the second-strongest rush defense in the league, so the Eagles should find ample room to run vs the Cardinals’ 18th-ranked unit. Arizona is high off a 26-7 beatdown of the NY Giants, but may be knocked out of the final Wild-Card spot with a loss here. The Eagles are only 1-5 on the road this season, but will step up big in the desert.
The Cardinals are 1-5 ATS over their previous six contests, and that stat’ll read 1-6 over seven after Sunday. Bet the Eagles +6 and the moneyline to make some bank.
Eagles 37, Cardinals 34
