Okay, BetUS NFL gridiron online betting fanatics, with Week 11 of the 2020 NFL regular season quickly approaching, it’s time to take a look at the hottest – and coldest – ATS teams in the league. The list of hottest ATS teams includes a pair of legitimate Super Bowl contenders while their ‘cold’ ATS counterparts features at least three potential playoff participants. Now, let’s find out which teams are looking good against their NFL Week 11 ATS betting odds and which ones look like they could struggle to cover the sportsbook NFL betting spread.
First though, let’s take a look back at the Week 10 NFL betting matchups!
Hot
These teams have been on fire when it comes to covering the spread.
Miami Dolphins (7-2 ATS)
Were you one of those NFL fans and betting enthusiasts that questioned why Dolphins head coach Brian Flores would make the switch from Ryan Fitzpatrick to rookie Tua Tagovailoa? After the Dolphins have now won two straight, now you know why! After improving to 3-3 on the young season under Fitzpatrick, Flores made the move to go to Tagovailoa and it’s worked perfectly. Miami has won three straight under the fifth overall pick in the 2020 draft.
The Dolphins have now won five consecutive games heading into Week 11 and Tagovailoa has looked increasingly better with each passing game. The former Alabama star has thrown five TD passes – and more importantly – no interceptions – over his first three starts while helping Miami put at least 28 points on the board in each contest. The Dolphins are 7-1 ATS over their last eight and are undeniably the hottest ATS team in the league right now.
New York Giants (7-3 ATS)
Go ahead and laugh all you want, but the Giants have won two straight and three of five while going 4-0 ATS over their last four games and 6-1 ATS over their last seven. Yes, New York ranks a dismal 31st in scoring (19.5 ppg), but the G-Men also rank a surprising 12th in points allowed (23.6 ppg) as they head into Week 11 with the third best ATS mar in the league.
Daniels Jones has not thrown an interception in two straight games after tossing at least one in New York’s first four games of the season and seven of their first eight games overall. Jones is also averaging 7.8 yards per carry and beat the Eagles with his legs on Sunday by racking up 64 yards on the ground and his first rushing touchdown of the season.
Las Vegas Raiders (6-3 ATS)
Jon Gruden’s raiders have won three straight and four of five while covering the spread in each victory to rank as the third-hottest ATS team in the league heading into Week 11. Derek Carr and company have put at least 31 points on the board in three of their last five games while hanging a 40-burger on the Chiefs in Week 5 and putting 37 points on the board against Denver on Sunday. Carr has thrown 16 TD passes and just two interceptions while completing a blistering 69.3 percent of his passes. Second-year running back Josh Jacobs has topped the century mark in two of the last three games while scoring three touchdowns over Vegas’ last two. Make no mistake about it…right now, the Raiders look dangerous!
Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2 ATS)
The Steelers covered the chalk as a 6.5-point home favorite against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday’s NFL Week 10 matchup to improve to a blistering 6-1 ATS over their last seven games. Pittsburgh is getting the job done on both sides of the ball in ranking a stellar fourth in scoring (30.1 ppg) and an even more impressive third in points allowed (19.0 ppg). The 38-year-old Roethlisberger is playing like an MVP candidate with a stellar 22 TD passes and just two interceptions on the year and the Steelers have the look of a team that could beat anyone – including the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs! Right now the Steelers are +525, second only to the Chiefs (+325) in our Super Bowl Odds
New Orleans Saints (4-5 ATS) and Atlanta Falcons (4-5 ATS)
The Saints and Falcons have both covered the spread in two straight games heading into Week 11 with the Falcons going 3-1 ATS over their last four. Unfortunately, the Saints could be in trouble with Drew Brees out for an extended period of time with broken ribs and a collapsed lung, in the latest NFL injury news. Atlanta has scored 34 points or more twice over their last four games, but it looks like it could be a case of too little, too late for Atlanta in the NFC South. The Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers both looking great to secure postseason berths in the division.
Cold
These teams are struggling mightily to cover their NFL online betting odds.
Cleveland Browns (3-6 ATS)
The Browns have won two of three and four of six, but Baker Mayfield and company are the coldest ATS team in the league as they head into Week 11 riding a four-game ATS losing streak that includes their failure to cover the chalk as a 4.5-point home favorite in their low-scoring 10-7 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday’s NFL matchup. Cleveland is ranked a modest 18th in scoring (24.0 ppg) and 20th in points allowed (27.1 ppg), but the good news is that it appears head coach Kevin Stefanski has realized his best chance of winning is to pound their opponents on the ground with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt and not let Mayfield throw too many passes.
Will the Browns (-3.5) cover the spread against the Philadelphia Eagles in their Week 11 matchup? Check out the NFL betting analysis here.
Los Angeles Chargers (5-4 ATS)
The Bolts might have one of the best-looking young signal-callers in the game in rookie Justin Herbert. However, Los Angeles has failed to cover the spread in three straight games following their three-game ATS winning streak just prior to their recent run. The Chargers have lost three straight and seven of eight overall with their lone win coming against the awful Jacksonville Jaguars in an NFL Week 7 matchup.
The Chargers (-9) will look to take care of business against the winless Jets in Week 11.
San Francisco 49ers (4-6 ATS)
The injury-riddled 49ers have lost three straight and five of seven while failing to cover the point spread in each defeat. While Frisco ranks an encouraging 10th in points allowed (23.4 ppg), the Niners have struggled mightily to score with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo out of the lineup and rank 20th in scoring (23.8 ppg) heading into Week 11.
The Seattle Seahawks (5-4 ATS), Arizona Cardinals (5-4 ATS) and Washington Football Team (4-5 ATS) have all gone 0-2 ATS over the last two weeks while heading into Week 11 with identical 4-5 ATS marks.
