NHL: Game 7 Pick and Prediction

The 2019 NHL Stanley Cup Finals are headed for a game seven after the St. Louis Blues failed to close out the Boston Bruins in game six. Boston will now have home-ice advantage for the series finale, and they should have plenty of momentum. St. Louis was ready to part on Sunday night, but the team failed to deliver their first ever Stanley Cup Championship.

Boston took a 2-1 series lead over the Blues in this series, but St. Louis responded in a big way. The Blues won convincingly in games four and five to take a 3-2 series lead, but couldn't get anything going at home in game six. The Bruins will be trying to join the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots who have already won championships in the last calendar year. The Boston Bruins are -160 over the St. Louis Blues in Game 7.

Tuukka Rask Delivers For Boston

The Boston Bruins will have a huge edge in this game as Tuukka Rask will be in net once again. Rask made 28 saves in the game six victory, and has been the MVP of the playoffs for the Bruins. The veteran is allowing less than two goals per game throughout this playoff run, and has stopped 94 percent of the shots he has faced. Another solid performance from Rask should deliver the Bruins a title.

Boston was in need of someone to step up for them on offense in game six, and Brad Marchand was that guy. Marchand got the scoring going with a first period goal, and leads the team with nine goals and 23 points in the postseason. The Bruins have been deadly on the powerplay throughout the playoffs, and they will look to take advantage of any mistakes by the Blues in this one.

Blues Must Find Some Offense

The St. Louis Blues had things rolling in games four and five, but there offense was nowhere to be found in game six. St. Louis needs Jaden Schwarz and Vladimir Tarasenko to show up big in this game, or the Blues are going to lose again. Schwartz leads the team with 12 goals during this playoff run, and Tarasenko has chipped in with 11. Scoring goals on Tuukka Rask is never an easy task, but the Blues need their stars to shine.

St. Louis has a rookie in net for them in Jordan Binnington, and nerves could be affecting him. Binnington gave up four goals on 31 shots against the Bruins in game six, and St. Louis needs him to be better. The rookie has stopped 91 percent of the shots he has faced in the postseason, but will need to be even better to lift his team to victory.

Boston is Title Town Once Again

The St. Louis Blues missed out on a golden opportunity to close out the series in game six, and they aren't going to be able to recover in game seven. The Bruins have a veteran team, and they are going to take care of business on their home ice. Boston will get to celebrate another championship as the Bruins take game 7. Bet the Boston Bruins -160 over the St. Louis Blues.
